Disc 3:
A - Sanctuary (DJ Cams vs Scott Mac remix)
B - Sanctuary (Staircase remix)

Originally released on Spot On, Dejures 'Sanctuary' is still a huge anthem for clubland. 'Sanctuary' was recently voted by northern clubbing outfit, Goodgreef, their Number One Anthem of All Time, so Nebula decided to get on the phone and work out a co-release. Here is the original mix along with five exclusive remixes. The De-Progression mix is a close-to-the-original updated mix that has had multiple spins from Judge Jules. Warrior provide their trademark tough trance sound and Beat Renegades take it nice and hard but still retaining the elements of the original mix. Scott Mac vs DJ Cams go on a driving percussive tip layered with hip hop stabs(!) whilst Starecase on the flip go into deeper waters on a cooler techy mix. The track has been licensed to Cream Future Trance, Best Dance, Club Anthems, Cream Ibiza 2003, Trance Anthems.

Ant
"5 Point Automatic remixes"

Released 11.8.03
Cat No. PTS014

A -
B -

The A-side features a heavy 4-note constant bassline, which paves the way for the shuffled percussion and a sick vocal. The AA-side features a more drum orientated affair with some quirky synths and a unique approach to the arrangement.

Babydoc & SJ
"I Need You"

Released 11.8.03
Cat No. TIDY190T

A - I Need You (Glazby vs Maddox remix)
B - I Need You

On Remix duties is the king of hard house, Paul Glazby alongside Tidy's very own whizz kid Paul Maddox. The two team up for the first time in a full collaboration and deliver a corking remix that will wet the whistle of any harder generation fan. Punchy percussion coupled with the lush original riff and SJ vocal are served up in a cool and calculated mix. It has Glazby and Maddox written all over it especially with the tough counter riff which comes in later in the track which works so well on the floor. The original is on the flip and still gets regular plays today from many a top name making this a summer sizzling release to get you in the mood for what will hopefully be a hot season. The track has been licensed to 'Extreme Euphoria' and 'Tidy Boys Summer Seaside Annual'.

Jamie Bissmire
"Uninterrupted Journey EP"

Released 11.8.03
Cat No. EUKA056

A -
B1 -
B2 -

Jamie Bissmire is a north London lad possessed by the dark heart of the Detroit sound. Bringing techno in its purest form to thrill starved indie kids, his career began with DJing stints with the likes of Primal Scream and The Orb, eventually leading to a residency at London's legendary Lost parties. In 1993, he made the move from the DJ circuit to studio, producing his first batch of releases for Infonet and Soma, a string of cerebrally charged techno tracks. Hes since progressed to appear on a host of imprints, Primate, Advanced, Novamute, as well as his own, Ground label. This is funky, crossover techno that can hit the house and techno heads alike. Two 4/4 cuts of groovy percussion and slick bass lines and a Detroit style electro track to round of the package.

Defective Audio
"Intoxicating"

Released 11.8.03
Cat No. VCR023

A - Intoxicating
B - Intoxicating (Paul Maddox mix)

Intoxicating is yet another master-class from Dom Sweetons array of producing guises. His first and definitely not his last piece of work for VC, remixer Paul Maddox has put his hard house hat on and cranked the remix up to the next level. One of the finest remixes to showcase on Vicious, all the elements from the original are there, but arranged with pure class. Twisted and evil are two words to sum up the main riff!! The track is licensed to 'One From The Hardbox'.

Ingo vs Daz
"Tranceptor"

Released 11.8.03
Cat No. VAC16

A - Tranceptor
B - Booster

Vacuum is back after causing a real stir with the last release U Know by label head honcho, Ingo. This time round Ingo teams up with newcomer Daz to deliver two slices of hard trance madness. On the one side you have Tranceptor: the fierce kick lets you know the track has arrived. Tough and driving, interspersed with acid stabs and squelches, the energy of this track is plain to see. Add a few vocal treats and the usual high quality Ingo production values and you have another guaranteed floor filler from Vacuum. Flip over for Booster, a dark, dirty monster that rips along until the break. Here the atmosphere builds and the riff starts to show its true colours before blasting back into action.

Frantic is the biggest hard dance event in the world. Mid Atlantic Sciences third release. 'The Seventh Day' is a melodic breaks track with a haunting vocal and lots of other nice sounds used to good effect. 'Back To It' is a more housey affair featuring the same vocal talents as 'Livin' last year. The third track, 'Move' is a smooth drop of four to the floor action leaving you with a feeling that can only be described as aaaahhhh last night wasnt that heavy after all, so roll up your sleeves because things could get a little dirty.

This has already been causing a stir off dub-plate and is destined to be massive with its distinctive sound. 'Get It On' eases the soul from the off with crisp drums and echoing Rhodes. It oozes with jazz as it shifts along and then all is made clear when a brilliant lead guitar line and warm bass. As the vocal drops you fell like you are in heaven and the track just keeps moving. This is soulful drumnbass at its best.

SMF (aka Smureff), a rapidly rising star of the DJ world, and resident of the legendary Fevah events in London and New Zealand, turns his attentions to the Fevah Trance label once again with the massive 'Madness'. Originally available on a limited pressing, this has been one of those elusive hard trance tunes where the initial buzz never went away, with many DJs still trying to hunt down a copy today. DJ Mag describes 'Madness' as "a rip-roaring hybrid that will appeal to harder house and trance fans alike", while Muzik likens it to a "galloping Nu-NRG stompathon."

Starlet DJs
"Go Girl"

B - Go Girl (Starlet DJs Anthem mix)

Go Girl by the Starlet DJs is already causing a stir from a very limited test pressing mailout. Judge Jules has played both mixes on consecutive weeks on his national Radio 1 show and support is coming from Andi Durrants massive Friday night show on Galaxy FM. The A side sees star of the international dance scene Yomanda, go up against the Starlet DJs to bring his own interpretation of the track to the table, delivering a tough, bass driven club monster. Nagging riffs over a hypnotic bass, interspersed with a distorted Go Girl vocal make this another You Clash! dancefloor stormer. "Santa Pod"

Released 11.8.03
Cat No. SUFR25

A -
B -

Santa Pod, a classic bit of acid techno by The Geezer and Aaron Liberator first appeared as Stay Up Forever # 48. This was the track most noted for its samples of drag racing cars at the Santa Pod race way. Now hotshot producer Ant (Power Tools) gets into the driving seat for two excellent workings of this acid techno monster. First up we have the Virus mix that fuses the London techno sound with a hard dance edge that will pound you into the floor. Flip it for the acid mix which as it says, lets the 303s loose, playing on the originals acid riff and giving it one serious rinse.

Yunus
"Invasion EP"

Released 11.8.03
Cat No. BED45 / BED45R

Part 1:
A - Opus 34
B - Mass Schizophrenia

Part 2:
A - The March
B - Seyo In Blue

'Opus 34' opens with tribal drums before spanning out through hugely atmospheric pads as Yunus drops the FX and lets them bubble under in this superb cut that gathers pace throughout. Ably B-sided by 'Mass Schizophrenia', rolling bass kicks in as filtered whisping vocals pan across the surface. The beat picks up into a stirring tech-house track. Midway the melodic kook kicks in and the whole thing is given new dimensions with a reinforced beat that takes the track off! 'The March' builds through a big low end into an intricately produced piece of techy minimal house at its best. FX in abundance and keys dropping in this tightly woven, textured track make this a real peak time killer. Each new build drops back down as things are stripped right back before the bass kicks through every time taking this into frenzied house sensation. 'Seyo In Blue' brings massive winding pads and melody into the production in this breaking atmospheric track. Another top of the night anthemic cut, this is a moody bursting number that will have heads down with the attention firmly fixed on the dance floor.

FPI Project
"Rich In Paradise"

Released 11.8.03
Cat No. S12DJ096

Written and produced by the legendary production team of Marco Fratti & Roberto Intrallazzi, 'Rich In Paradise' was massive on import and at the top of every dance chart going. It was also the subject of a fierce bidding war between UK dance labels and was eventually signed by Rumour Records. They had the idea of adding a vocal and so was born 'Going Back To My Roots' (sung by Sharon Dee Clark Nomad/Devotion) - a cover of the Lomont Dozier classic. This took the record to another level altogether and it smashed its way into the top ten of the national charts in December 1989 and went on to be a world-wide hit being top 10 across all Europe (#2 Germany / #5 France) selling over 1,000,000 records. This is one of the finest ever examples of Italian house music and it paved the way for several FPI hits to come (due on S12 soon) as well as a host of other big Italian House anthems.

Ken Doh
"I Need A Lover Tonight"

Released 11.8.03
Cat No. S12DJ097

A no.1 club classic, huge europe-wide hit + uk top 5 hit!! With that pedigree, it's hardly surprising to find that this record is rated as one of the Top 10 dance tunes of all times. Originally released on North East Label Nice Vinyl, the 'Nakasaki EP' made a real impact with all the dance A&R men and a bidding war ensued which was won by FFRR. Produced by Michael Devlin with mixes from Jules & Skins and vocals by Sonique. This record will without any doubt at all bring a huge smile to your face and fill any dancefloor.

Outrage
"That Piano Track"

Released 11.8.03
Cat No. S12DJ098

It's 1993 and Balearic House is in it's prime with the likes of Oakenfold, Brandon Block, Alfredo and Fabi Paras playing to the sun drenched masses on the Med. 'That Piano Track' is well named as at the time and even now when speaking about it, people say "Oh...THAT Piano Track!!?" This record was, is and always will be absolutely massive in every way.

Pizzaman
"Trippin' On Sunshine"

Released 11.8.03
Cat No. S12DJ099

Released in the summer of 1994, this superb dance tune was a Top 5 Club , but for some bizarre reason only peaked at No.33 in the National Charts. Despite this, the record never went away and remained a firm favourite - so much so that it was re-issued two years later and this time hit the Top 10! Based around Rockers Revenge's 'Walking On Sunshine', this will always be a seminal moment in the history of Fat Boy Slim. This is the tune that catapulted him to the very top and he quickly went on to establish himself as one of the greatest creators of dance music of all time!
