Leftwing Recordings return with an absolute gem of a house track. Vintage Todd Terry drums gradually give way to a less urgent yet interestingly overpowering, tribalistic drum groove that eventually breaks down into that oh-so familiar Chemical Brothers' classic 'Hey Boy � Hey Girl'. Static Revenger's recording home is behind this well thought out head swimmingly adorable sound collage of mesmerising twisted house moods in its original creation. 'Keep On' grooves along at a steady pace and is full of wonderful little sound bytes and edits to leave your mouth watering. The track has a slight techy feel to it and as it builds towards the main break you wonder what�s going to happen next. As the break kicks in it takes the track to another level and gives the listener a of how beautifully crafted this track is, full of percussion patterns and emphasis on the sounds. On the flip, another current man of the moment, Paul Glazby, who has supplied his own unique sound to so many top flight artists and labels does so again. Glazby's mix is full of energy and has slightly more pace than the original, and has more of an underground feel to it. It rips along faster than a night train and leaves you breathless.

This is the second part of three �underground� releases, that Subversive have planned for Cevin Fisher in the first part of the year. The first part was the Essential New Tune, �My Shadow�, and �Work It Out� is a return to a housier sound that Cevin is more noted for. The third of the underground releases will be out in early summer and will be an even more commercial affair complete with big name remixes. Whereas �My Shadow� was a more minimal track, this takes us back to far more familiar and typical Cevin territory with a distinctly uplifting tribal house feel and soulful female vocals. The A side is raw and dirty whilst the flip takes a more bouncy mainstream feel. Having managed to get a CD of the original mix last year this has been a favourite in Danny Tenaglia�s box for sometime and has been penciled in as one of the tracks that he will pushing at Miami 2002.

Deep dark and funky remix from Tom Stephan, a.k.a. Sharon & Tracey on Paul Con�s Flesh label, and more recently Superchumbo on Twisted. A friend of Rob Di Stefano (Tribal America) and Danny Tenaglia since his very first gig (opening for Tenaglia at Ministry of Sound!), he went on to put together a compilation �Drag Addict�, a collection of New York-style bitch tracks, and release a debut single �Get This� as Superchumbo on Twisted. A 5-year residency at Substation in London followed and it is his Tenaglia / Twisted / Tribal sound, long-championed in the US and more recently over here, that resulted in his nomination for the prestigious �Best Producer� award at the Muzik Awards 2001. More recently, his single on Twisted, �The Revolution�, has been causing a stir on dancefloors worldwide and has led to an array of remix offers, bolstered by his genre-twisting house reading of Missy Elliot�s �Get Ur Freak On�. There is also the small matter of the Superchumbo album, presently in gestation, and his collaboration with Tenaglia � �Ova�.In addition, Tom has mixed the Soundworx: Session 2 compilation on Southeast Recordings and recent remix work has included Kylie�s �Out Of My Head�, Deep Swing �In the Music� and Love Tattoo �Drop Some Drums�. If you didn�t already know, On Records is the brand new, legitimate, funky brother label of �Spot On Records� and is making a serious impact and setting a first-rate standard on the floors with its debut and more recent releases. This is the first release from Seb Fontaine and Vern (half of Stretch �n� Vern) under their new pseudonym Sizzlak. Already making a massive impression on the funkier side of the floors and doing wonders for the likes of Pete Tong etc, it has already picked up many plays on the National airwaves and is looking set to receive many more International spins. Keeping the style electronic but more on the funky tip, is the order of the day and Sizzlak create a truly awesome chunky builder. This is funky enough for early doors, but also has the correct amount of electronic beef to please the peak time hooligans.

Tone Depth (a.k.a. Tony Papadopoulos) represents one of a new rising force in house music. At 24 years old he is a huge burgeoning talent in progressive house drawing upon a huge range of influences and environments for his unique, growing sound. This is a fantastic and unique sound based around incorporating deep synth sounds with vocal chants. 'Rumble Fish' opens up with a building vocal and driving beat whilst the synths grow, the combination of which is absolutely awe inspiring stuff, that is until the drop when the the vocal is cut up to create something on a completely different level and take the dance floor in a 'top-of-the-night', floor filled direction where things go off.

Jason was the first new artist to be signed by the Thumpers, and since the release of �Vengeance� back in 2000, things have just got better and better on all fronts. �Vengeance� was Jason�s first release with Thumpers and proved to be a major success, and so if was only fair that this jaw-breaking prizefighter be given a defence of its crown. In the red corner we have the tribal and tech influenced works of Samuel E Reeve throwing a few pounding shots to the face to ensure the floors rock with rhythm and stealth. In the blue corner, it's Cheeky Little Monkey resident Jody Osman screaming the shots out with a fat hairy bassline that makes Tyson look like a ballet dancer. It�s tough, shadowy, and full of energy and action, and is sure to take this fight to the full fifteen rounds. Credit to both remixers, who really have worked their arses off on the studio skipping rope to ensure that �Vengeance� is ready to take on the best.
