OD404 "Robot Jam" Released 25.03.02 Cat No.KTI020
OD404 is something of a buzzword at the moment, with more remix duties than most under various different guises, their own label and having just mixed the forthcoming 'Insomnia2' album for Tidy Trax. The original mix is a tough work out with all the usual trademark funky edged bass lines, sweeping edits and melodic reasoning that goes into all their tracks. On the flip, we have a legendary mix from leading producer BK. The quality control that oozes out of this remix is second to none. However this time BK decides to go on a lighter slightly trancier journey but still manages to retain the driving force he is known for. This track has been caned off TP by Andy Farley, Paul Glazby, BK and Superfast Oz and has certainly turned a few heads when dropped in the biggest clubs around the world.

Various "Freakaboom Sampler 1" Released 25.03.02 Cat No.FRKCDV001
Amato Distribution are proud to announce the exclusive signing of one of the finest purveyors of nu-skool breaks, Freekaboom. After years of steady dropping top-quality UK breaks under his Freakaboom imprint, Justin Owen has finally assembled his first compilation in the form of a double CD set. The 1st sampler is a solid representation of the self-proclaimed "funkyprogressivenuschoolelectrotechbreak niche that Freakaboom has developed over time. Stateside break producer Burufunk offers up a dirty piece of electro with 'Above & Beyond'. Deep and throbbing sub bass propelled by sharp electro kicks and busy synth work make for a solid foundation. Add some breakbeat cutups ala BT/Hybrid and you have his best production to date. The irrepressible 2 Sinners offer the strongest track on the sampler entitled 'Who You Are'. In the same vein as their last 5 or so productions, the beats are fast, the high hats are driving, the vocal samples are well placed, and the bass is hard to cut with a ginsu knife. Kraymon drops a reworking of 'Fade In' that is a more stripped down than some of his past workings. The cut up Mobb Deep 'Underground will live forever baby' sample manages to evoke good crowd response. His pad and synth work retains that tasteful 80s synth pop ethic that has become his calling card over the last year or so.

The 'Wavestorm' remix on the A side takes the track to a harder and faster level concentrating on the thunderous basslines, breakbeat drum patterns and furious hoover sounds.
