Symphony of Strings
"Don't Want Your Love"
Released 19.11.01
Cat No.LQ020

Combining atmospheric strings from the hands of Donald and Giles and the stomping kicks and psycho-driven bass-lines from the Connector we can say that there has been no better match since Darren Emmerson met Carl Hyde and Rick Smith. On the A-side you will find a more commercial string anthem for all the jocks playing for the massive crowds, defenitly one of those 'must haves' for the big league DJs like Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren and DJ Tiësto, whereas on the B-side you will find the more underground remix by the Connector.

Maxtreme
"My House Is Your House"
Released 19.11.01
Cat No.SUN015

For two years, Sunrise Recordings has brought you the finest hard house and club tracks from the Netherlands. Artists like E-Craig, The Crazy Drummer, Natural Born Grooves and TDR have made their way to the top of many charts in the past. Once again, Sunrise Recordings brings you a house classic with a brand new flavour added on top of its original mix. It's another UK club anthem, using a sample from the old school: Break Boyz' 'My House Is Your Hous'e (Franky Bones).

Various
"Response"

Cat No.AUTOCD001

'Response', is the debut CD album release from Automatic Records, reflecting the current sound of the singles released by the label. Mixed by Ashley Caselle, this double CD offers 24 progressive-tinged belters, and contains 8 previously unreleased tracks and mixes which are gearing up to cause maximum impact on dance floors everywhere throughout the course of the next 12 months. With the rise of progressive DJs like Lee Burridge and Danny Howells it has become clear that the kids don't necessarily need to 'ave it to angelic Jules promoted club fodder any more. They want it deeper, dubbier and darker - just how it should be. If there's one man who signals this maturing in clubbing attitudes it's Ashley Casselle, who has brought a more developed sound to the nation's dancefloors with his unique blend of beefy, fromage-free dancefloor tracks and deep house.

Cat No.ALIEN20

Dutch label Alien Recordings delivers a fast, hard track containing the now classic 'Drives me Crazy' vocal loop. Targeting the right up for it crowd this is a track for the more headstrong. Flip over to the Air Red mix for some futuristic touches to the original.

Coalition vs. Jeroenski
"Serenity"
Released 19.11.01
Cat No.BHCC702

This release has got it all!! Funky guitar, a groovy bassline and pumping drums. The original and the DJ Jeroenski has a clubby feel to it, but for those who like it more rough and loud you can play the Salez Sound Works Remix. This is the kind of record that turns a rhythm crazy dancefloor into a feelgood clubbing collective in the drop of a breakdown. It's still heavy enough to keep the groove but the added sythn chords and the funky bassline wrap the crowd into a whole different vibe. Its all about the groove and believe, the groove's good!

Kings Of Clubs
"Revelation"
Released 19.11.01
Cat No.ITWT332

If you had the chance to listen to one of DJ Tiësto's latest sets you've probably heard this track already. The Airwave remix of this track is absolutely massive and was played by him at Creamfields, FFWP and of course Ibiza. The original is a strong progressive track with a subtle vocal. Trance junkies will be foaming at the mouth (aren't they always??), on hearing this haunting and uplifting trancer.

Lindrum feat. Gry
"Love In The Park"
Released 19.11.01
Cat No.BBR001

This track is without any doubt one of this summer's anthems, and this is not a statement the label made up themselves. DJs as different in style as Boy George, Roger Sanchez, Jori Hulkonnen, Youssef and Danny Tenaglia (who played it at his WMC party) have this track in their boxes and if you go to www.brotherbrown.com you can check out the great reactions from Ibiza residents. 'Love in the Park' was created by one of the best Danish DJs and club promoters, Al Lindrum alongside his featured vocalist Gry and all lyrics, vocals and arrangement was done in one marathon live session in the studio which has resulted in an extraordinary vibe that rocks the floor from A-Z at ANY given time of the night!

Ingo
"Repeat"
Released 19.11.01
Cat No.HOTWAX10

The Long awaited 'Repeat' by Ingo. This track first saw the light of day earlier this year on the Hotwax offshoot Rated Recordings and was featured on the flip side of 'Ready 4 Dis which is now on Tidy Trax. Bulletproof gives this a top remix with a dirty fat monstrous bassline, a little disco loop here and there and lots of filter which makes this an awesome package.

Patient Saints
"On your Mind"
Released 19.11.01
Cat No.PERF28T

Patient Saints are David Gates and Marc Hunt, but you'll know David better as co-founder of Salt Tank. David received worldwide success with euphoric trace choon 'Eugina', whilst the second Saint of trance, Marc Hunt worked on such Salt Tank material as 'Sargasso Sea' and 'Swell'. 'On Your Mind' has already received massive acclaim through John Travolta's blockbuster 'Swordfish' where it debuts on the soundtrack, which turned it into one of the most downloaded tracks on the Internet. Not one to miss a good thing when he hears it, Paul Oakenfold eventually persuaded the lads to sign to Perfecto. As Patient Saints, the duo work their own euphoric magic with 'On Your Mind'. Stunning vocals by Ricky Simmonds - who has written tracks as Lustral, Ascension and Chakra - add an almost Spiritualised quality, proving that Marc and David can cut it at both the light, chilled end of the musical spectrum as well as the dark.

Stargate vs. The Generator
"The Arrival"
Released 19.11.01
Cat No.GA032

Produced by Robert Smit and Rob Fabrie. Smit is no newcomer to the scene, running the Tsunami label with Ferry Corsten. Past works under his Caveman, 2HD and The Generator pseudonyms have all gained worldwide recognition. The Generator's 'Where Are You Now' was picked up by every trance compilation when it came out and this new collaboration with Fabrie, has been caned by DJ Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, John "OO" Fleming and Scott Bond to name just a few. It's a full on trance monster that guarantees massive cheers on the dance floor.

"Graham Gold almost enters Nukleuz territory with a fuzzy headed, scraped-knees, falling-off-your-skateboard kind of record. It's like updating the bees-in-a-tin Euro-trance sound - this Dutch track is more like bees and butterflies frolicking in a hat box" 5/5

Viv Craske - Mixmag Jan 2001

Andy Farley & BK
"Khemical Imbalance"
Released 19.11.01
Cat No.NUKP0349

Over the past 12 months Andy Farley has risen up through the ranks to become one of the most popular hard house DJs in the world, recording tracks for Nukleuz, Overdose, Vicious Circle and many more. Main man BK is also no stanger to producing hit records either on his own or with hard house giants such as Farley or Alan Thompson. 'Khemical Imbalance' is one of the hard house scene's most eagerly awaited records. The 'Step Away' track on the flip however, delivers a new sound for them as they use pumping, tribal-techno grooves to effect a truly unstoppable sound.

"The follow up to one of the tunes of the year ('Chunky But Funky') does not disappoint, with BK & Farley moving further away from the recognized hard house sound they helped to define. 'Khemikal Imbalance' is a moody little blighter, with knocking percussion, sizzling synths, rumbling bass and a soft female vocal combining to create an exciting sound for all dancefloors and DJs of taste."

The Wackdaddies
"return Of A Wack Planet"
Released 19.11.01
Cat No.UTCLP008 / UTCCD008

The Wackdaddies (now down to just one Wackdaddy, the all-conquering Tony Senghorn) unleash 'Return of a Wack Planet' and our loveable Wackdaddy shows that he has lost none of the South Park attitude to music making that won 'Fear of a Wack Planet' full marks for funk and a gold star for fun. After a suitably bizarre and effects-laden intro, the album jumps headlong into 'Defectors', a typically wack groove jam-packed with electrically charged beats, oddball squeals and twisted vocals. If George Clinton were nineteen - he'd be a Wackdaddy. Tony's currently completing several projects which include a track for Moody (Chicago) with remixes by Derrick Carter, a 12" for Paper called 'Lovechild' featuring Juju and a mixed LP of Tony and La Cienda Honduras releases from '96 onward to be released on San Francisco's Panhandle records. As well as finishing a remix for Phil Cheesmean's new label Essence, he's just back from a DJing tour of America.

Track Listing:

1. Intro
2. Defectors
3. Fight The Power
4. Blow Shit Up
5. Caught Up
6. Disco World
7. Wa-Di-Da
8. Papa Pusher
9. Pass The Joint
10. Wack Is Back
11. Pay Up

Ingo
"Boom / Move"
Released 19.11.01
Cat No.TIDY160T

After the huge success of 'Ready for Dis' and 'My House' on Tidy Trax, the boy wonder returns, with a slightly different change in direction, but have no doubts, this next blistering track is still as energetic, bouncy and full of life as ever. Tom Ingamells (better known as Ingo) leaves the now obvious off beat route that he has become famous for and this time comes up trumps with two full on peak time monsters that have already been rocking the dancefloors across the nation over the last few weeks. Both tracks move at a colossal pace as he uses swinging yet funky basslines and mind blowing, nagging riffs to create a double header of funk-fuelled tough beats that will whip up the crowd into an absolute frenzy, whatever the venue.

Ren & Stimpy
"Theme From The Green Hornet"
Released 19.11.01
Cat No.FCOM004

This monster slice of hard trancing mayhem comes courtesy of windsor based DJ Paul B, under his Ren & Stimpy moniker. The 'firetraxx' label continues to go from strength to strength: this only their fourth release and what a scorcher it is. Paul B and co producer Top Boy have taken the theme from the classic 60's tv series and turned it into a mighty footstomping, barncrashing anthem. Tough beats, rock solid arrangement and furious percussion all go hand in hand to make this record a smash. Dan D.S. shows us his trance credentials with a mighty hard trancing experience on the a side and one touch of the needle to the break will tell you all you need to know. While the flip offers a harder, deeper, stripped down groove but is still as furious and rocking as the a side.

Ilogik
"Dance With The Devil"
Released 19.11.01
Cat No.EM009

This time, the man behind the label, Ilogik provides the master touch to this dancefloor anthem. 'Dance With The Devil' provides a dark trance influence to the pounding beats and sweeping bass lines that's sure to leave any rave monkey literally reaching for the sky. On the flip, 'Open Your Mind' is typical of the Elasticman sound that has firmly established itself within the scene. The driving bass line and hardcore melodies proving yet again that the label can produce quality hard house.
