Dark Princess "She Loves Me"/"Bongo Rush" Released 17.9.01 Cat No.BBR004
"Deep, dark, tribal, funked up house all describe this latest release from Dark Princess. Hypnotic rhythms are blended perfectly with the haunting 'She Loves Me' vocal, while the heavy, intoxicating bass and rhythm grabs you and doesn't let go. The flip captures the current tribal explosion and couples it with Latin elements, using deep, rolling beats to create a building groove of epic progressive proportion. Previous releases on this label have been licensed to FFRR and Ministry Of Sound."

Klubaholix "Smak Da Bass" Released 17.9.01 Cat No.GA029(MP3)
"Good As provide this re-rub of the huge Prodigy classic 'Smack My Bitch Up'. This was massive first time round and has now been re-vocalled and all publishing has been cleared. The production credits on this turn go to Klubaholix who have provided a hard, funky, breakbeaty-in-places monster, with a trance/techno edge. Licensed to compilations in Germany, Japan, Australia and Canada."

SL "The Way I Like It" Released 17.9.01 Cat No.TCOM014
"Sl is the new moniker for one of the UK's true trance giants, but we can't tell you his name! Showcasing a stunning new sound, 'The Way I Like It' is SL's mighty fusion of trance, disco and super tough house. Already being spun by a hugely diverse cross section of the jock community, this driving treasure has won fans from across the DJing board. Judge Jules has been hammering it at Judgement Sunday. Tall Paul, Boy George and Graham Gold have all smashed it across the big ILR networks. Anne Savage was caught dropping the original in the middle of some slinky madness on Rapture TV. Brandon and Alex have been battering it alongside Yomanda, Lost Witness, etc. Drax and Scott Mac deliver another thumping tribal remix which concentrates on the trancier elements. Already the subject of much major label interest, this is a scorcher that has a mix for just about everybody."

BK & Alan Thompson "No Escape" Released 17.9.01 Cat No.NUKP0351
"Alan Thompson is resident at Trade and DTPM, two of the world's funkiest hard house club nights and BK who, like Thompson is already a living legend join forces again to make a match made in heaven! The duo's last combined effort, 'Out There!' was supported to the hilt at the nations finest niteries by top jocks. Having now got the measure of each other, the pair deliver the next instalment: bigger, badder and bolder than the last. Title track 'No Escape' licks out with a monster slap bass section that's as funky as Antonio Fargus in flares, whilst 'Up Ya Drum' delivers more than an just an ounce of bounce for the pumping massive."

La Colina "Mi Samba" Released 17.9.01 Cat No.BRG022
"Maybe it's the time of the year, but this release by La Colina speaks volumes about the true meaning of Ibiza, summer and good times. The track is licensed from a small label in Spain, where a lot of superb house music seems to be coming from at the moment, Weekend and Kidesol records, to name just a couple. Here, the mystery artist La Colina delivers a flawless house groove, layered with beautiful Latin sounds, bongos, drums and percussion, which are worked perfectly into a warm samba vocal. The flip side offers a firing dub version, but still carrys the same energy, pace and funk."

DJ Pure "My Definition" Released 17.9.01 Cat No.BXRP0359
"'My Definition' by DJ Pure has been kicking ass amongst the test press massive: Fergie got his copy from Mauro at God's Kitchen in ibiza, Jules got his at a rendevous with a BXR UK secret agent and Dave Pearce stole his from Mark Discobrother's record box when his back was turned - hot property indeed! This is another stunning example of how the Italians do it and how the BXR label has become such a force to be reckoned with. Tough tech-fuelled beats are mixed perfectly with crunching percussion, tough bass and wicked stabs."

Satoshie Tomiie feat. Chari "Atari" Released 17.9.01 Cat No.6714806
"This is a double A sided treat of two fresh interpretations of two of Satoshi's recent tracks. It is also a glimpse of what you can expect to find on Satoshi's triple album 'Relicked' due out in October. Satoshi has had an icredibly successful year in the UK. He is a major part of the Def mix team (alongside David Morales and Frankie Knuckles) and has remixed the likes of David Bowie, U2 and Mariah Carey as well as Djing around the world. Jaded (James Doman), who remixed 'Atari' is currently remixing Watkins' 'Black AM' and Z Factor's 'Ride The Rhythm'. Christian Hornbostal has been producing successful tracks since the dance music explosion. He was responsible for the 'Translucent' track on the very first Renaissance album and here his in demand remix of 'Come to me' finally sees the light of day."

Eagles' Prey "Tonto's Drum" Released 17.9.01 Cat No.PFT028
"A timely re-release for this classic progressive anthem that was a permanent fixture on the summer soundtrack of 1992. Eagles' Prey are Paul Coleman, Lee Grainge, and John Kennedy, and their original mix first appeared in June of that year as a white label that was originally championed by Billy Nasty (Zoom Records). The buzz grew through the following months, with everyone from Darren Emerson to Andrew Weatherall championing it's unique qualities. 2001 sees the mighty Lexicon Avenue (Chris Scott, Scott Bradford, and Mark Armstrong) flex their remix skills, and introduce 'Tonto's Drum' to a whole new generation of dance music lovers. They keep the track deep, dark and dirty and deliver the haunting original hooks and stabs in fine style, staying true but spicing things up beautifully."

Carissa Mondavi "Solid Ground" Released 17.9.01 Cat No.EVE01048 Cat No.EVE01048X
"Following in the footsteps of last year's best selling release 'You Won't See Me Cry' by Markus Schulz, comes 'Solid Ground', a fantastic progressive trancer with haunting vocals from American songstress Carissa Mondavi. The Force Mass Motion mix is a classic production from established producer Michael Wells: he completely cuts up the vocal and inserts the most head-spinning bassline ever played together with an hypnotizing synth line and luscious string washes in the breakdown. The result is a completely different take on the original but a powerful and body-grabbing version nonetheless. The flip contains the version which uses the most vocals, by outstanding US producers Fade. A full-on vocal trancer, it hits all the right spots at the right time. On the second vinyl, Markus Schulz comes up with a fantastic tribal take on the original by inserting subtle drum rolls and various bongo effects to the main version while still using the main vocal lines. The Dakota mix on the flip is a more straight-edged affair, which makes sparse use of the vocal and instead concentrates on the more dreamy aspects of the track by adding some luscious strings and a soft stabby riff in the breakdown."

Norby feat. Edinho "Te Queiroz" Released 17.9.01 Cat No.GDF004
"'Te Quero' is a classic Latin house record with the warmest of chords which surf the bass and handclap wave of soul that is caressed by little rays of flute bursts. No frantic timbale or Cuban pianos are to be found: this is laid back and chilled like an ice-cold Cruzcampo lager, Latin house at it's best. Originally from Italy, Bini & Martini were the only pair to have a copy, but were asked for it everywhere they played, in and around Europe."

Syacoda vs. Ben Kaye "Reach Up Don't Stop" Released 17.9.01 Cat No.RUDE023
"This 12" is a driving two sided hard-house stomper, much tougher than Rudeboy's recent releases, and highlighting the return of quality underground hard-house. Syacod and Ben Kaye are two northern DJs and producers who have a string of residencies all over northern England, and have productions on labels such as Hotwax, DP and Orange Records, as well as a recent signing to Nukleuz."
