Levitation
"More Than Ever People"
Released 10.9.01
Cat No.PJMS0059

"Summer anthem alert. The Café Del Mar classic is back, after it was the tune of the summer back in 95. Can 7 and Sounds Of Life have excellently reworked 'More Than Ever People' and with the usual Peppermint Jam quality production this is set to get the sunshine juices flowing again. Can 7 deliver their best mix to date, using some intense percussion, disco influenced guitar riffs, breaks, filters and deep baselines, this will fit into anyone's set and change the mood of a club instantly. S.O.L' s mix is more on the tougher tip, which has a lot more drive to it for the tougher heads. All in all a quality double pack of pure sunshine to smile to."

Traction
"Assault"
Released 10.9.01
Cat No.NUT072

"Long established Dutch label Nutrition finds it way to our shores. Already established with releases such as 'Hole in One' (Manifesto) this release will not disappoint. Traction enjoyed success with 'Intuition' and follow up with a dance floor thumper targeted towards the regular clubber. A hypnotic keyboard riff coupled with pounding percussion will make this a peak time track."

Captain Tinrib & The Nun
"Work It Out"
Released 10.9.01
Cat No.RIB048

"After 3 years of toiling away in the office, Nadia (or The Nun as she is known to her friends ) The Captain's right hand woman, has walked the long walk across the threshold and into the studio. Check 'em out and tell us what you reckon - but go easy on the Nun - she's only a novice after all! The Captain kicks off with a funky little guitar loop and some playful drumming with more pots and pans that you'd find in Ainsley Harriet's kitchen just to throw you off the scent of things to come. Then out of nowhere he unleashes the Tinrib wasps; fucked up, ferocious and genetically mutated - these boys will have you. The Nun was obviously not feeling full of godliness and serenity when she tripped into the studio to join the Captain on the flip. A horse racing bassline gallops along feeding the trancey undercurrent with some screechy stabs that give way to a great walloping riff that steamrollers it's way straight through the track to win by a nose."

Beat Freakz
"Get Out Of My Life"
Released 10.9.01
Cat No.SP021R

"Spinnin return to form with this vocaltastic release from the Beat Freakz. Big strings glide around on top of a simple, punchy bassline. A sweet female vocal takes care of the middle ground, so there is plenty going on to hold the interest (especially the Soul Providers mixes), meaning this will appeal to the disco queens and Ibiza hedonists alike."

Paul Glazby
"Here We Go"
Released 10.9.01
Cat No.VCR006

"Vicious Circle is part of the new wave of hard house labels, which are redefining the genre. Label owner, Paul Glazby's (Insomniaz, Tidy Trax) second production is a corker. Having his debut release back in December 2000 last year on Recharge (which was closely followed by the first Vicious Circle release 'Kick It') Paul has since notched up tracks and remixes for Epicentre, Tidy Trax, 12" Thumpers!, Shock and Blue Muzic. He also has forthcoming remixes for Kaktai and Nukleuz and has completed a remix of Miss Shiva's 'Dreams' for Virgin. 'Here We Go' was featured on Anne Savage's Ministry Magazine Covermount CD - January 2001."

Cyclone
"Salobre"
Released 10.9.01
Cat No.TRANSK005

"'Salobre' was the official theme for this year's Berlin Love Parade, quality trance with energy that builds, and which bridges the gap between psychedelic and hard trance. Well controlled acid lines filled with hard rhythms, arranged to build and peak at maximum effect. Every couple of months comes a track that DJs, radio stations and journos alike all collectively get exited about; 'Salobre' is one of those tracks."

Altitude
"Excession"
Released 10.9.01
Cat No.6714846

"Excession announces its arrival with a surge of bubbling synth riffs that build with an increased sense of urgency to a euphoric breakdown, complete with rolling drums and whispery vocals. On the flip you will find the tribal fused Blue Velvet remix while Blackwatch do their own electro tinged workout. Altitude is Australian producer Steve Gibbs. After becoming a professional sound engineer, Steve supported Bjork and the Prodigy on their Australian tours. Producing under various names Steve took off in the UK under the guise of Antartica. More recently Steve released under the name Azure and was instantly supported by Timo Maas and Anthony Pappa whilst also finding his way onto compilations such as Paul Oakenfold's 'Travelling', Lee Burridge's 'Global Underground' and Dave Pearce's 'True Euphoria'."

Chris Carter
"What Sounds Are"
Released 10.9.01
Cat No.FGD007

"Chris Carter's original mix is one of the biggest buzz breaks tracks this year after it was discovered by Forged partners Koma & Bones and included on their amazing Y4K album for Distinctive. The vocal in the track is a killer and has had all the breaks boys foaming at the mouth for the last few months! For the house mix, Forged's Andy Jarrod has teamed up with Surrey new kids Freeloader to create a storming tribal house affair with dirty dark stabs, keeping it perfectly in line with the original. Chris is most definitely a big talent and one to watch. One of his finest moments was his collaboration with Blim and Shara Nelson on 'You' on Botchit & Scarper. He's also just finished another single with Blim, 'Check It Out', which Lee Burridge has included on his Nu Breed album."

Ewok
"Go Back"
Released 10.9.01
Cat No.TIDY156T2

"Prepare yourself for part two of this storming track. The Logo side has been remixed by Trauma, who has come out of retirement for this project and as you would expect, risen to the challenge once more and delivered a stunning remix, using the original riffs and hooks but adding a bassline from hell. On the other side Samuel E Reeve delivers a thumping hard houser, filled with nice and cheeky sounds that will impregnate your brain with euphoria. Sammy boy has steered away from the main trancey feel of the track to give it a more underground hard house feel. He's created a filtered melody that runs throughout and should send the floor into chaos when it's dropped."

"More Star Wars fans let loose in the Studio! The original mix of 'Go Back' is a warm and fuzzy old skool galloper of a track with a nagging vocal hook and trance leanings. Mr Bishi updates it with bounce and an off beat bass. Trauma toughen things up but retain the Trance feel and Samuel E Reeve, turns up the gallop to number 11. Feel the force."

Coda
"Take Me"
Released 10.9.01
Cat No.DCR007

"This is the first release by Coda for the Decipher label and is a 3-way collaboration between Mark Shimmon, Bernie Hurst and Lee Godden. Side A has a laid-back housey / tribal feel whilst Andy Moor has remixed the AA side and produced a more pumping version that is already being played at Gatecrasher and Renaissance. Mark Shimmon & Bernie Hurst have produced many tracks for Decipher with their biggest to date being the Sasha favourite, Twister's 'Mauna Kea'. 'Take Me' is featured on Sum Records 'Progressive House' compilation."

Samuel E Reeve
"Punk Ass"
Released 10.9.01
Cat No.VAC002

"Brace yourself! Hard house's favourite son, Ingo kicks off his own label Vacuum Recordings with a serious attempt to rip the roof off the dancefloor. After the success of 'Pump Up The Pressure', Ingo brings in his friend Samuel E Reeve to deliver the second single, which is a fine stomping hard house. Samuel is a rising star on the hard house scene and has already completed remixes and productions for Tidy Trax, Hotwax and Kaktai. 'Punk Ass' is a stylish, bouncy crowd pleaser, whilst the remix by Ingo, has been completed in his own inimitable style."

Trancentral Station
"Mothership"
Released 10.9.01
Cat No.19BOX006

"The worldwide progressive house boom has most definitely arrived in Japan and 19 Box Recordings is fast becoming known as the leader of its kind. 'Mothership' was formerly the name of the biggest club in Tokyo where Japan's DJ 19 made his name. The original is a hard-edged, mad progressive number but it's the remix that's doing the job. Steve Porter turns in his best work yet with a groovy percussive workout that just doesn't let up. A breakdown gives you just enough time to take a breath before the journey continues. As Featured on Jimmy Van M's recent Bedrock album and Andy Jarrod's Extrema album."

Harry Diamond & David Parnell pres. Ca-Lo
"Tamara's Groove"
Released 10.9.01
Cat No.NUKP0355

"Having turned in some stirling work as Cajun on Fluid recordings and in partnership with our own Nick Sentience on Nukleuz Purple, Harry Diamond' is in pole position. His production partner 'spiky' Dave Pannell is signed to James Holden and Silver Planet's new offshoot, Easy Access Recordings as Loki and between them they have created a masterpeice! The name Ca-Lo is going from strength to strength after their sensentional last release 'There Be Dragons', which received massive support and their recent remix work for Nukleuz, VC and Bonzai. Now this blistering partenership turn in two tracks aimed directly at the dancefloor, using tough percussion, pumping bass, hard stabs and plenty of pace and energy."
