Slacker
"EP part 2"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.JBOXX001

"The second part of Slacker's long awaited return, featuring 'Fusion' and 'Slack Man Sound'."

Ilogik & Bazooka Joe
"Streets Of Pain"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.EM007

"Elasticman continue their superb form with their seventh release on the label, which features another joint collaboration between hard house masters Ilogik and Bazooka Joe. First up is 'Streets Of Pain' which is a hard, tough, rocking track, full of banging bass, crazy drops, stretched vocal snippets and mental breakdowns; so good in fact that it has already found its way onto several compilations. The next track is called 'Shut Up' which is more on the bouncy side but sill has all the necessary hooks, drops, rocking beats and pulsating energy. 'Streets Of Pain' is licensed to the 'Tidy Girls Annual Album' mixed by Lisa lashes and Rachel Auburn's new compilation from Central Station in Australia."

Pariah
"Keep The Peace / Ruffneck Rhythm"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.RHYSYN013

"Pariah is otherwise known as Rowan Blades who has cultivated his sound through fantastic productions such as Breeder (most notably 'Twilo Thunder' and 'The Chain'), and as Pariah, with his astonishing mix of 'Space Manoeuvres - Stage One', out on Hooj and which was feat on Sasha's 'Global Underground Ibiza' CD. Additional remix work has been completed by Andy Page, who has previously worked with Sasha on his Rabbitweed track and as ASAP for Fire Recordings. Also featured on Sander Kleinenberg's 'Nu-Breed' CD, which was released earlier this year."

"International Big Room Tunes"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.NUKC0345

"Nukleuz has been at the forefront of the successful Hard House scene of the last 18 months. The label's 12" schedule represents all house styles from techno to trance to house and the new Yellow label is a conscious step forward to represent house and funky beats. CD 1 on the album is almost exclusively material from the Yellow label (officially launched on a boat on the Thames during July). CD 2 is mixed by Nukleuz's greatest rising young star Nick Sentience, with a selection of the best tracks from the Purple and Blue labels. This is a forward looking album with very little out and out hard house included (shock horror) but the all the quality expected from the label."

"International Big Room Tunes Sampler"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.NUKP0365

"To complement the launch of the international big room tunes compilation, a 12" sampler which features two of the best tracks from the mix. On the vinyl is Nick Sentience & Tim Healey's 'Feel Surreal' (Lee James remix). Having turned in an awesome rework of 'The 4 Commitments' by Dutch pumpers 911 on Nukleuz Red, Southampton's finest hard trance producer delivers the goods once more. Cyberpunking up the original vocal to the next level and creating maximum riffage, Mr James manages to create sbaolute chaos. On the flip is Champion Burns' 'Pow': pumping house meets dirty disco in a battle of the mirrorballs. Popular with hard funkers like Alan Thompson, Steve Thomas and the Judge himself, Champion Burns return once again to prove that they are the Batman and Robin of house music."

Simon Foy
"Inside Out"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.BXRP0364

"Picotto joins forces with Simon Foy who plays along side Mauro at the legendary Inside Out, which was M8 magazine's club of the year. As one of the most well known djs north of Hadrian's Wall Simon has had an illustrious career, culminating in a vinyl outing on one of Europe's most popular labels, although this release is actually his second vinyl outing (his first was a specialist track called 'Put Your Hands Up', which hit the streets last summer and made it to number 12 in the uk national charts. 'Inside Out' is a double whammy of tip top tech-trance action, that is already being hammered by Dave Pearce, Judge Jules, Fergie and of course, Mauro Picotto."

Quasistereo
"Addictions"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.ANODYNE2

"Deep in the depths of Azuli towers, there lay a dark and mysterious place, previously undiscovered, laying dormant since their inception. Periodically the groans and shrieks could be heard above the din of wailing divas and gospel choirs, but they all put it down to a rough night at a club and a dodgy curry. After 10 years the monster within has raised its ugly head, and now unleashed we have no idea how to stop that moody tribal monster that is....Anodyne. 'Addictions' is a deep, graphic, no nonsense comment on drugs and their addictive nature and is already causing a stir on dancefloors due to the outrageous lyrics. It's produced by Ricky Montanari, one of Italy's longest running DJs and producers. On the flip is a mix from Cirrilo one of DC-10's (Ibiza) residents."

Bradley
"Rush"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.FD015

"Bradley Harper is one half of Red Shift and he has delivered a banging original trancer, with smooth melodies and great transitions. 'The Echo Dub', has been created by Brad, Darryl Williams (other of Red Shift) and Gene Carbonell (an Atlanta DJ). Voyager has provided the remix and needs little introduction to the progressive arena, as he has proved himself over and over with tracks appearing on numerous Sasha & Digweed compilations. He is signed to Coded and has remixed for Bedrock and Breeder to name but a few. He has also co-produced several tracks on the new Cass & Slide LP. 'Rush' is licensed to the new Tranceport 3 CD Mixed by Sandra Collins."

Sean Cusick
"Paradiso Obscuro"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.V003

"New York based producer and DJ Sean Cusick makes his solo Viscous Disc Recordings debut, following up 'Circuit Breakers', which he worked on with Jimmy Van M and the Fluid cartel. Long term resident at the infamous and recently closed Twilo club in New York, Sean's DJing has for some time now been earning him a reputation in the States and he is now set to do the same here in the UK. The 'Paradiso Obscuro' track on the A side is a deep, dark, driving tech-prog builder, which uses hard drums and minimal sounds and will terrorize dancefloors. The flip side has been given a lighter touch by Cusick in the shape of 'Karate Porn'. Still deep, but more of a dirty funk groove, which builds with relentless beats into a dancefloor delight."

Michael Thomas
"Afterglow"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.EVE01047

"Number 47 in the Eve series comes courtesy of US rising star 'Michael Thomas' who is better known as 'Blackwatch'. The 'Threshold' track on the A side is a deep, driving, yet subtle affair, which has summer written over it, using highly effective melodic stabs, groovy basslines and superb cut-up female vocals, creating a warm progressive/trance killer. The flip however, takes us on a deeper and darker journey in the shape of 'Afterglow', using layered rhythms, filtered basslines and spooky strings, which all subtly build to a dreamlike breakdown of echoing riffs and filtered FX."

David Craig
"I'm Sexual"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.RECOVER009

"The Recover 9 remix comes courtesy of Bristol DJ and producer Tom Harding. One of the rising stars of the British hard House scene with up and coming releases on Nukleuz, Tom is already a celebrity in Holland, where he regularly headlines the Dance Valley parties. Already a huge rave anthem at these parties, with its colossal percussion, tough beats, break beat samples and thunderous basslines, it uses the simplest of chords, hooks and drums to create a hard groove, which is unstoppable, powerful and highly effective, complementing the superb original track on the flip, which is featured on the disc as usual."

Hamel
"Close"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.TEK007

"Label boss Bill Hamel is no stranger to the scene. He DJs all over the globe and has just recently completed a remix of the new Delirium single for Nettwerk, which Paul Oakenfold has been raving about. Bill has also recently signed a singles deal with Ministry of Sound, which will see him raise his profile to the next level. On another production note he's had tracks signed to Bedrock and Hooj Choons amongst others. The Quadrant mix on the flip side is Bill himself taking a slightly different approach to the original. A little harder and less funky, this remix should appeal to the heads."

Symmetric
"Unbalanced"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.FOR003

"'Unbalanced' has been floating around for a full year and has been ably supported by a handful of DJs. It has become a Renaissance anthem after numerous plays from Ian Ossia, a big melodic progressive houser that is currently causing a storm in Ibiza. The A-side is a no holds barred monstrous slab of summer prog house: a driving bassline (has to be heard in a club!) pushes towards wicked gated vocals and a ivory filled break section that's sure to be a huge hit all over the white island this summer. The dub on the flip side makes things a little cooler and gives the track an overall deeper feel by losing the melodies and riffs."

Greed
"Promises"
Released 28.8.01
Cat No.MECH005

"Mechanism return with brand new mixes of the infamous Greed feat. Lesley - 'Promises', which was originally available through Sog Records and was featured on Danny Howell's Nu-Breed compilation out last year. The original mixes were hammered by everyone, from Sasha to Lawler to Jimmy Van M. The original production was completed by T. Wirz and his most recent track 'Fatal', was featured on Danny Howell's Nocturnal Frequencies 3 compilation. Sleepfreaks (Sumsonic & Baroque) have provided this classy mix. Similar in style and structure to their mix of Delerium's 'Silence', this is set to feature in many DJ boxes this summer. The 'Flight Attendants' mix is a trancier version of the original mixes and is sure to appeal fans of Oakenfold and Max Graham."
