Cor Fijneman, one of In Trance We Trust's most succesful producers and DJs, hits the dancefloors with a strong epic trance tune, very melodic with a high uplifting break. The hypnotizing string chords are what makes this track special. On the flip is a more clubby tune called 'The Red Bridge' in 2 different versions, with a catchy melody. Eyal Barkan & A-Force, who released the successful 'Revolution' on In Trance we Trust have signed up for the remix. Licensed to 'Club Illusion'.

Colin B vs. Gaz James "No Fear" Released 7.4.03 Cat No. VAC13
A - No Fear
B - No Fear (Project Mayhem mix)
It's the 13th chapter for Vacuum but it's definitely not unlucky for you or us because there are 2 Vacuum debuts! The hard trance original from Colin & Gaz is an absolute belter and they've enlisted the scene's current favourites for a remix! The original mix is full of the intense, uplifting ingredients that have been the trademark of all Vacuum releases to date. A chunky kick and choppy percussion clear the path for a rumbling b-line and warped synth riff that build into a massive crescendo guaranteed to do the business on any up-for-it dancefloor. Brighton's finest, Project Mayhem, make a welcome debut on Vacuum and don't disappoint with an awesome remix. Taking the track down a tougher, darker route, they twist the original to appeal to those who prefer their tunes a little moodier.

Blakkat "Rite Place" Released 7.4.03 Cat No. SHAB061 / SHAB062
Disc 1:
A1 - The Rite Place
A2 - The Rite Place (Black Soul mix)
B - The Rite Place (Crazy Penis' Jackin' The Beanstalk mix)
Disc 2:
A1 - The Rite Place (Onionz remix)
A2 - The Rite Place (Toka's Rite De Dub)
B - The Rite Place (Lil Devious Shake O Matic mix)
Blackpool main man and uber-producer Mark Bell aka Blakkat returns to the Shaboom fold with his most accomplished release to date. In the past he has worked with (deep breath) Marshall Jefferson, Felix Da Housekat, Doc Martin, Joeski, Taka Boom and Robert Owens amongst others. Recently he finished an album with New York's DJ Onionz and has nearly finished producing DJ Sneaks new album that includes the massive 'Fix My Sink'. For 'The Rite Place' he recruited Brooklyn based vocalist Aswan. They have turned in a beautiful song over Latin shuffling beats and washes on the original that shows off Aswan's soulful vocals and puts her up in the new generation of singers to watch. On the Black Soul mix things get more minimal and techy but retain the sensual vocals that will keep clubs like The End and Fabric rocking. On the flip, Crazy Penis show why their album The Wicked Is Music on paperecordings was one of last year's essential releases. It keeps things stripped down and funky marrying disco drums with flicks of guitar and rhodes, leading up to a wonderful chord change and break that shows the song off in all its glory. On the second 12, DJ Onionz goes back to his roots with a conga driven goodtime groover that uses some mean Latin piano that is guaranteed to put a smile on everybodys face and getting their hips and feet moving. Next up, Blackpools Toka mines his trademark groovy and funk-led sound that keeps him a regular in DJ Mag's Sureplayer section and a favourite of David Duriez. Here, his crisp and snappy drums lock into an unrelenting groove that leans into wildpitch as the vocal unfolds. Lastly, Carlisles finest Lil Devious gets a solid bottom end, cracking drums and a phat digital bassline that will ensure mayhem at peak time on any dance floor in any club, as endorsed by the lovely Lottie on Radio 1's Eseential Selection (Friday 21st Feb 2003).The Rite Place comes at a time when songs are an exception to the rule and this positively glows, ensuring Aswans future star status. With a set of quality mixes that any DJ with ears will love, it is destined to be a classic.

Cass "Swarfega Svengali" Released 7.4.03 Cat No. SABOTAGELP01CD
A - Cass - Swarfega Svengali
B - Excession - Spatialize
Sabotage continue the good work with the second of 4 ltd edition 12s from the 'Eight' compilation CD. Casss Swarfega Svengali has just a soupcon of melody in the break to lift it out of the ordinary, whilst on the flip, Excession gets all noodly and acidic, with his lo-slung affair Spatialize. Altogether a truly fantastic follow-up to the ltd edition 'Eight' vinyl series.

The Disco Brothers "The Sound" Released 7.4.03 Cat No. 0500PNUK
A - The Sound
B - The Sound (Bass & Breakz mix)
We love The Disco Brothers and so it seems does everybody else. Rapidly gaining themselves a reputation as lunatic party animals on DJing trips throughout Europe, Mark and Tim have the ear of all major DJs through Marks role as label manager for Mauro Picottos BXR UK label. Their track, Feelin Me, with Darren Styles on the Nukleuz DJs project saw them crash the national charts with the first vinyl-only Top 40 for ten years! Final Frontier was also single of the month in Mixmag and played by Jules and Fergie on Radio One! The Sound is the ultimate in tough, driving tech-trance for the big rooms - as favoured by Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Burren and the other Euro nutters. Big bass, thumping groove and simple but striking melody hooks are the order of the day. Mixed up with a few breaks and a distinctive vocal and youve got one devastating DJ tool for blowing them away.

David Duriez "Reborn EP" Released 7.4.03 Cat No. GOUR010
A - Your Guide
B - Your Dub
Hailing from Paris, Mr. Duriez should be no stranger to discerning house heads having in the past few years made quite a name for himself with releases and remixes on such labels as F Communications, Doubledown Recordings, 2020 Vision and his own brilliant Brique Rouge label. David champions a strictly underground attitude and reinvents his sound for every release. The two tracks on offer here are no exception. 'Your Guide' is a bouncy, atmospheric ride through those moodier club moments, incorporating cinematic flare with a raw funky house attitude. Spoken word is peppered over the tracks airy breakdown before the bassline gets chunky and the syncopated beats slam back in with authority. 'Your Dub' is a slanted rendition on the same theme, utilizing a new synth line, new bass line, new spoken word and an all together darker mood.

Alexander Koning "New Directions" Released 7.4.03 Cat No. BL061
A - New Directions
B - New Directions (Eric Powell remix)
Amongst the dance scene's independents it has to be said that in their longevity & quality, Bellboy are pretty unique. Home to producers including Chris Cowie, Frankie Bones, Ross Couch and 808 State, the label was the brainchild of Aberdeens ubiquitous Chris Cowie, one of the most talented producers in the UK dance music industry. After a decade purveying an unadulterated strain of quality house and techno, Bellboy has not only survived but developed and flourished amidst the ever-unstable environment of the dance scene to stand confidently in its reputation as one the countrys finest independent labels. This is Alexanders third outing for Bellboy. The Dutchman also runs his own Bassethound label, has collaborated with artists including Hungarian-based Andy Slate and Swedens Mikeal Jonasson and has contributed to labels such as Pitch, Babe, Equal and Zync. His records have been regularly played by the likes of Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Ben Sims, Joel Mull, Seb Fontaine, Oliver Lieb and Ariel. With New Directions, Alexander gets back to business with a steady-building momentum, a funky bassline pushing things along until a sexy vocal drop, building back up to bring the party mayhem. On the B-side is the brilliant re-interpretation by Americas Eric Powell, whose galloping remix combines that nagging vocal loop with a heafty dollop of discofied funk.

DJ Lucca "Mirage 01" Released 7.4.03 Cat No. AQT017
A - Mirage 01
B - Private Dancer
Lucca delivers hard-funking techno with no small measure of sex appeal on her debut release, building tough, percussive layers over tight and muscular basslines. Over both tracks she shows herself adept at working a dancefloor with her minimal yet funky style and an underground, party attitude. Hailing from the Czech Republic, DJ Lucca has made remarkable strides considering shes only been DJing since 1999. After being selected for the Red Bull Music Academy she began playing nights around Eastern Europe, sharing the bill with the likes of Terry Francis and Colin Dale. Voted best newcomer by Bassline magazine in 2001, Lucca is now venturing into production, looking to emulate her heroes such as Trevor Rockcliffe, Marco Carrola and Christian Smith.

Matrix 22 "Flat Out Fucked" Released 7.4.03 Cat No. THM058A
A - Flat Out
B - The Furry
Thumpers have unleashed the ace up their sleeve with this new outfit, Matrix 22. Slick production and massive amounts of energy are the order of the day and, believe me, you wont be disappointed. Flat Out Fucked is as the title suggests. The heaving kick drum is joined by a gorgeous melee of tech house samples and syncopated percussion to make anyone slaver at the mouth. With huge builds from front to back, is there any relent from the uplift? The Furry features much crunchier percussion and a slightly bouncier edge to it which gives this EP a good rounded spectrum. Do not get too comfy though, cos it rapidly kicks in with all the viciousness of a 2-bit-crack-whore hunting a hit. The break is carefully thought out and the energy crescendos to points beyond comprehension. A brilliant debut EP on Thumping White and for the die-hards among you, watch Matrix 22 and watch carefully cos the word is growing.

Miro "The One I Run To" Released 7.4.03 Cat No. SKYRT07 / SKYRTX07
Disc 1:
A - The One I Run To
B - The One I Run To (Miro remix)
Disc 2:
A - The One I Run To (Tony Thomas vocal mix)
B - The One I Run To (Tony Thomas dub)
Skylines sound is best described as electronic music with a housey edge. A new arrival at Amato, Skyline has a very solid profile with releases from Colours, DJV, Dada Munchamonkey and Rey. Here, champion Danish house duo Miro (aka Orange on Hooj) release their first Miro track on Skyline. 'The One I Run To' is a big, deep vocal number to get you in the mood courtesy of the beautiful vocals of Julie Harrington. Miro turn in two mixes the original full vocal and a much more dubbed out version of the original, paying particular attention to spaced out sounds and fx that float around the track. It comes with a full vocal, deep phat, tribal mix courtesy of Tony Thomas of Soma, and a very cool dub mix too.

Momu "Sunsicle" Released 7.4.03 Cat No. BB02
A1 - Sunsicle
A2 - Sunsicle (Rock Candy mix)
B - Donner Pass
Mark Musselman and J Moyer take their production credentials under their 'Momu' moniker to the next level with this, their latest outing for Bedrock Records. Having established themselves relativley recently, Momu have absolutley exploded onto the breaks scene as well as the wider dance scene with their brilliantly produced breaks, all touched with something from the housier end of the spectrum. Having received huge critical and popular praise with tracks like 'This Is Momu' and 'Kitty Hawk' and outstanding remixes of Cass' 'Mind Rewind' and 'Justin O'Brien & Jonathan's 'Levitate', Bedrock picked up the excellent latest produciton from the duo of East Coast house dons. Opening up with deep atmospheric chords, Momu produce a haunting, kick ass breaks track to add to their already impressive discography. J Moyer (better known perhaps as one half of Jondi & Spesh) and M. Musselman have taken the breaks scene by the jugular since appearing with debut release 'This Is Momu'. Here they show no sign of releasing that grip, further establishing themselves as masters of the sound with 2 awesome house infused breaks tracks. Their own 'Rock Candy remix' takes the fx that lend the atmosphere and moves up a gear, adding another dimension to the break and really forcing the dancefloor fever brought on by this record. 'Donner Pass' too features the superb combination of house elements with Momu's distinctive break in this stuttering edgy track. 'Donner Pass' builds tension all the way through with dark rifts and subtle breaks, all leading to a killer drop guaranteeing dancefloor commotion.

Anne Savage "Hellraiser" Released 7.4.03 Cat No. TIDY186T
A - Hellraiser
B - Four Leafed Clover
Anne Savage needs no introduction. As one of the famous Tidy Girls, Anne's DJ and production career has rocketed, since the Tidy Girls launch in April 1999, making her one of the biggest Female DJs in the world. Beginning with 'I Need You' on the Tidy Girls EP, and most recently releasing 'Real Freaks', Anne Savage has sold in excess of 25,000 copies over the last 4 years, no mean feat in anyone's book. This time Anne returns with arguably some of her best material to date. In 2003 she has teamed up with Tidy's young guns, Paul Maddox and Guyver, to produce the true sound of today's hard house scene. 'Hellraiser' is a ferocious techno influenced monster, which is fast moving, relentless and most of all massively respected on the floors. Produced in conjunction with Paul Maddox this little baby has already received early support from the likes of Andy Farley, BK, Lisa Lashes, The Tidy Boys, Lee Haslam and of course Anne herself. Four Leaf Clover' is the B-Side and is more on the hard house tip but it is as uplifting as a hot air balloon on helium. Produced in conjunction with Guy Mearns, Anne has come up trumps yet again with this thunderous and energetic workout, which compliments the A-Side greatly. All in all this is a massive release for Anne. Watch out for her forthcoming album 'Music for the Harder Generation'.
