"Beautiful Monday"

Released 10.3.03
Cat No. DEEP010

A - Beautiful Monday
B - F*cking Friday

Matthew Dekay has been producing quality house music for the last few years, which has all seen support from the worlds Top DJs. Between his own work and collaborations with Francesco Pico, his productions all ooze quality. A recent remix of a Ryan Dent track, a huge house anthem in the making, has been hammered by Deep Dish for the past 2 months and is due to show its face very soon. Watch the national charts as this is going to be massive in Miami. Here Matthew introduces his Beautiful Monday EP, a 2 track hit with summer vibes on the A and a tough unrelenting groove which has been championed by Timo Maas on the B. The A oozes quality, with twinkling melodies, tight bass and fantastic production. It builds from a simple groove up through layered percussion, lush chords and into a spaced out atmospheric break, then back to earth with an infectious bassline. This is the bomb and has seen heavy support from Deep Dish over the past 3 months as an acetate, and now from Sasha, Sander Kleinenberg and Chris Fortier. The B, 'F*cking Friday' delves into a tougher, tech house groove with driving rhythms, a shake your ass bassline and well programmed percussion. Watch the floor move, just ask Timo Maas, hes been hammering this for months. Watch out for Petter's 'These Days', an electro tinged atmospheric breaks number which is sure to find favour with the top jocks and possibly make its way into a film score..

Following on from Slackjaw's 'Broken' (which received support from Deep Dish, Steve Parry, Lemon 8, John Digweed and Chris Fortier) Float with the Ghosts is guaranteed to take the world by storm. The A-side is an absolutely massive houser, the kind of track you can play to lift your set to the next level or as an end-of-night-er. Layered rippling hooks, that beautiful looping full vocal with harmonies and the rolling b-line, all put together as the Binary Boys know best. AR52
"Timegate"

Released 10.03.03
Cat No. JOOF9

A - Timegate
B - Hibernation

Timegate gently guides us into the hypnotic and, at times, eerie world of futuristic sounding trance. The three-minute mark heralds a semi-euphoric breakdown, which filters into a pure void before returning with a harder-edged sound that creeps along in smooth hypnotic style. Hibernation leads us into an altogether different dimension of solid trance. The main aspect of this track can be seen in the constant shifting between high and low tempo sounds. Beginning with a classic kick drumbeat, Hibernation spirals back and forth before settling at an up-tempo level and breaking down at the four-minute mark. This superb AA side from AR52 has both presented the perfect comeback for Joof Recordings and launch on to the UK scene for AR52. Heavy rotation off TP from from Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Biggest tune at Gatecrasher last week, we both played it! Scott Bond and Matt Hardwick.

Big basslines, a wicked array of dubby effects & vox and a jazzy keys section sit atop the groove to make this a proper funky little number. The breakdowns are atmospheric and minimal and set the tone perfectly for the beats to kick back in and take the dancefloor back to full hip swinging, headnodding mode. 'Key Commands' on the flip is another bass heavy, tracky house groove with funky drum programming. Watch your bassbins when playing this!
