At the time it peaked all the DJ charts and their album, In Worship Of False Idols was placed in Muziks top 25 of the year. The original is complemented by 'Tinko', a track formerly only available on their album. The Hardfloor mix which has been unavailable for over three years and is accompanied by Mark Kavanaghs faithful update, retaining the awesome atmosphere of the original with contemporary production and power.

Base Graffiti
"Race Logic"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. OTRFT014

A - Race Logic
B - Race Logic (Project Mayhem remix)

The pumping beats, crisp percussion and phat bassline of 'Race Logic' are all on a par with any European production and when the main riff joins the action, the track steps up a gear to get those hands in the air!! It's a shame festival season is over because this one is just made for those big tents and screaming masses. Also having their first outing on OTR are hot new property, Project Mayhem. They toughen up the original and prove that they are definitely ones to watch with a dark, grinding remix that will satisfy their growing army of fans.

Love this and all Base Graffiti stuff! - BK 9/10

My favourite OTR release to date, really tough groove with a euphoric break! - Anne Savage 10/10

Vitrama
"Cristalie"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. JXX770

A - Cristalle (Katana ft. Precision mix)
B - Cristalle (Katana's Intro mix)

Nothing gets trance DJs scrabbling around for a tune more than plays from the DJ elite, like Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk. 'Cristalle' by Viframa has just scaled the Dutch dance buzz charts following a limited TP mailout in Holland. And the main reason? Well, for starters, 'Cristalle' has been getting heavy club plays from the one and only Tiësto, a 'Tune Of The Week' award by Armin van Buuren on his 'A State Of Trance' show on ID&pT radio, has featured on Paul van Dyk's 'The Politics Of Dancing' album on Ministry of Sound, and is currently sitting pretty at #1 in Talla 2XLC's chart. Now that 'Cristalle' is fixed for a simultaneous release date in the UK and Europe at the end of November, you can guarantee the buzz will have reached fever pitch by then. A TP mailout to the UK tastemakers this week has already resulted in a massive thumbs up from the likes of John '00' Fleming, Eddie Halliwell, Graham Gold, Paul Kershaw and Colin Tevendale, with more to follow.

Alsolut & Blade
"Dropzone"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. SOG016

A - Dropzone
B - Dropzone (Loader mix)

Andre Absolut and Eric Blade are two Swiss Producers who have a knack for knocking out solid releases everytime. Influenced heavily by Sumsonic & Minilogue, the duo favour tough percussion, building synths and sweeping washes, tailoring each track into fantastic floor fillers. With previous releases on Sumsonic and forthcoming tracks on Sog and Vsual Recordings, Absolut & Blade, already signed for 2 further releases with SOG, deliver a monstrous prog houser, a tough, tech house edged stomper for the floor. Falling somewhere in the great divide between Sleepfreaks and Minilogue, this track has all the elements to make your body groove. Tough as hell percussion, razor sharp beats, grinding basslines and twisting synth lines, building up and up to a relentless groove. The B side Loader remix, is one of those tracks that seems to take a cooler approach at first, but as the track progresses its becomes apparent that this is an absolute monster! Already picked up for use on a forthcoming Nervous US compilation, plus with a number of licensing partners sniffing around, this is certainly going to rank as one of Sogs finest releases.

Julian Liberator
"Haitian Analogue"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. 4X4X13

A1 - Hard
A2 - Funky
B1 - Clanky
B2 - Deep

Julian Liberator (Sandell) and Henry Cullen (aka D.A.V.E. the Drummer) team up again for what has to be the finest release from the 4 x 4 stable so far. Rhythm and fusion from Haitian voodoo drummers provide the backdrop for this fierce-funked techno bomb. Hard is an arse-shakin tribal newsflash 'analogue'. Funky wants to get down dirty on that clubland dance floor. For those who prefer the express elevator to the 4th dimension, check out Clanking and Deep provides a haven for our android friends.

Slackjaw
"Broken"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. BIN008

A - Broken
B - Broken (Polekat remix)

This is sure to be Binarys finest release to date. Freeloader are Tim Scott and Stephen Bent. They have enjoyed previous success having produced with Andy Jarrod on Hooj Choons, Manifesto and Forged Recordings and under other guises such as Slackjaw and the massive Kwerky (Junior). Their own unique brand of techy chunk fried house has been played many DJs from Seb Fontaine to Colin Hamilton and everyone in between. Following on from Slackjaw's 'Looking Back', which received support from Deep Dish, Steve Parry, Lemon 8, John Digweed and Chris Fortier. 'Broken' is a guaranteed to take the world by storm. The A-side is a trademark 80s tainted houser, with an arpeggio bassline to die for. Sweet, lush vocals and matching chords layer beautifully over a series of catchy hooks to create a smooth, emotive track, which will leave you smiling like a lottery winner. The flipside sees Polekat (having released 2 singles on Renaissance) deliver a slightly more progressive remix, more sparsely arranged and utilising the vocal to maximum effect. Crisp percussion, fantastic production and deep bass form the backbone, with a hypnotic loop working in the background all in all this is a fantastic package and an essential Binary release.

Alternate
"Alternate"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. RR012

A - Alternate
B - Alternate (Mr Raw remix)

Total uplifting energetic trance from the label that delivered Driftwood 'Freeloader' (Positiva) and Peran 'Good times' (Incentive.) Produced by E-Craig and the Beat Freakz (Donald & Giles, Project Medusa.) This collaboration between these superb producers has resulted in an awesome trance record with a unique and catchy melody that will stick in your head. The original track starts off with a nice solid beat. It has a very energetic sound to it, which slowly starts to build into a nicely produced, well-paced futuristic trance sounding production. The remix still holds the good qualities of the original, although perhaps coming across as slightly harder. Theres more punch to the kick drum used. There are also added elements and effects in here with help to give it a different overall sound. This wicked trance production is well supported by a lot of leading trance jocks across the globe.

Infusion
"Legacy"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. AT001

A - Legacy (Junkie XL mix)
B - Legacy (Synaesthesia dub) Audio Therapy is the brand new label formed by globetrotting uber-DJ Dave Seaman and his pals at top DJ agency, Therapy (plus various colleagues from his days with the mighty Stress Records.) Infusion, from Australia, are one of dance musics best kept secrets. They have won plaudits from the cognoscenti on both the prog and breaks scenes (hence their close working relationship with Adam Freeland) and their live show has wowed the southern hemisphere and, more recently, Fabric in London and Centro Fly in NYC. Infusion have enough five star reviews in their locker to wallpaper Wembley and have won just about every celebratory gong going in Oz. In short they have a unique musical vision, trash all genres, and theyre ace! Junkie XL proves his versatility and sheer talent on this mix, a breakbeat anthem that screams "tune of the night", play me again, a work of undoubted genius and so on, you get the picture. The Synethesia Dub is dark energetic prog with a strong Bedrock feel: quality through & through.

Kooki
"Imagination"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. HUSSY015

A - Imagination (Sushi Twins remix)
B1 - Imagination (Super Club remix)
B2 - Imagination (Dub remix)

Swiss born Kooki is the vocalist behind this addictive, accessible funky summer house record. Think Tim Deluxe meets Bjork and you have Kooki's 'Imagination'. The Sushi Twins Remix is a collaboration between Australia's renowned producer GT (aka Chili Hi Fly) alongside Tim McGee (one half of Wok Institute). Live dirty bass sounds make for a credible, but LARGE club record! The Super Club Mix straightens out the bassline while the dub drops the vocal and gives us a more driving affair. Kooki, the sensual and silvery vocal behind 'Imagination', was born twenty something years ago in Locarno, Italian Switzerland. Over time she became more involved with dance music and more specifically in singing. The most recent result is Imagination, an incredibly distinct and unique vocal house track.

Nugen
"Braaj"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. REL006

A - Braaj (Lemon 8's Inner Sanctuary mix)
B - Braaj B2 - Braaj (Nathan Manners' breaks mix)

Release Records is the brainchild of Jerome Robbins & Mike Bertolli, owners of the renowned store in Canada, suppliers of quality upfront house music to some of the worlds top DJs. They launched the label in 2001, and since then have seen success with 5 releases from artists such as James Harcourt, Nugen, Gruvhaus and Oxygen. From the looks of things, this release is going to blow the progressive faithful out of the water. The on-form Harry Lemon delivers a monstrous epic mix, laced with deep bass, ethnic percussion and eastern promise, which builds and builds from a deep tribal groove into an epic peaktime monster. Flip it for the original mix which is a driving tribal progressive number, with a bassline to shake your rib cage and then to B2 for a twisted Nu-Skool breaks reinterpretation from Nathan Maners. Without a doubt, Release recordss finest release to date. Nugen has been producing quality house music for the last 2 years. Having recorded for Cyber Records in Holland and previously on Release Records, she utilises bass heavy grooves and tribal percussion to maximum effect in each release. Lemon 8 is one of the most prolific producers and remixers of the last decade. With over 25 personal releases and 35 remixes under his belt, Lemon 8s distinct sound can be spotted a mile away on each release. His recent mix of Greeds strange world has litterally taken the world by storm, featuring on Satoshi Tomiies Global Underground Compilation and on Andy Jarrods Vapourised CD.

F1
"Cuz I'm Rockin"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. TTRAX093 / TTRAX093R

Disc 1:
A - Cuz I'm Rockin' 2003
B - Can't Stop Won't Stop

Disc 2:
A - Cuz I'm Rockin' (James Lawson remix)
B - Recoil (Paul Glazby mix)

This is a classic package of remixes of true hard dance anthems. F1's seminal 'Cuz I'm Rockin' gets the remix treatment it deserves, being one of the most requested back catalogue items to re-press. F1 is Paul King, who has recorded under the guises of Pants & Corset, Trauma (for Tidy Trax) and Terrence and Philip. James Lawson, of Edison Factor fame, has been drafted to remix this hard dance classic, having turned out some great remixes recently for the likes of Nukleuz and Honey Pot. Paul Glazby asked to remix 'Recoil' as it was the first track he bought that got him into the hard dance genre in 1997. Hard trance stalwarts Steve Blake and Phil Reynolds remix the seminal 'Can't Stop Won't Stop', fresh from the release of their 'Phase 2' on Tripoli Trax.

Cricco Castelli
"Through Changes"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. MN2S016

A - Through Changes
B1 - Through Changes (Johnny Fiasco's Tantrum mix) B2 - Through Changes (MN2S remix)

A bouncing bassline, punchy beats and highly-strung pianos combine with a spoken-word bitch vocal to produce a track stronger than a round of double espressos. The original also comes tailored with a slamming mix from Chi-towns finest Johnny Fiasco. Cricco calls Through Changes a follow-up to his seminal 1996 track Life Is Changing. I was going through some old samples, explains Cricco, and found some unused ones I had from the original session I did for Life is Changing. I wrote a new tune using these vocals and a few other ingredients I had lying round and that was it. You could call it a follow-up though its much tougher than the original like the Godfather II. Born in Rome, Cricco began DJing in the mid 80s and made the eventual step into production in 1990 with debut releases on his very own Romentertainment records. Since then hes gone on to release over 100 records on labels such as Junior, NRK and Milk n 2 Sugars, but it was his worldwide smash Life Is Changing on Kult that saw Cricco re-locate to London to be amongst the capitals thriving house scene. Every track I do, opines Cricco passionately, has to have soul and melody. Theres no point if a tune has no soul its like a person it will be dull and lifeless. Im the happiest Ive ever been now because every night I am in the studio till 5am - I have the best job in the world making the music I love. DJs as varied as Joeski, Joey Negro and Carl Cox are testament to this, as among many others theyre keen supporters of Cricco and his reputation looks set to spread in 2003 when he embarks on his debut tour of Asia and Australia.

Ross Couch
"System Check"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. BL059

A - System Check
B - No return

In the footsteps of the irresistible Seismic Shift, Scottish boy wonder Ross Couch returns to the Bellboy imprint with an AA to die for. Ross has been hard at work in the studio over the last few months, taking advantage of quite a prolific spell to write a few new tracks, he reveals. System Check, his much-awaited third Bellboy release and favourite so far, looks set to cause commotion in the clubs and features the techy-progressive (complete with African chants) piece No Return on the flipside. System Check is a driving tech-house monster enriched with hypnotic beats and an infectious groove thatll undoubtedly work the worlds finer floors. No Return delivers a mesmerising blend of tribal house, complete with an atmospheric break guaranteed to leave dancefloors in awe. Couchs third offering on Bellboy, and my, its a goodn! Look out for another (as yet unsigned) track Breaking Point which has already found favour with Frederik (of Pako & Frederik fame.) Also Ross is set to make his debut on the techno imprint, Aquatrax under his alias Dirtyfunk as well as his January Panther Records release 'Soulstrings'. A very diverse, prolific and talented producer already supported by techno bods and the progressive crew alike, from Seb Fontaine to Christopher Lawrence, Ross's tracks have been tearing up floors for months after release. Certainly one of the names to watch in 2003 as his debut album is already planned for late Summer 2003.

"Recycle EP 2 pt. 2"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. TIDY184T

A - Travel - Bulgarian (Paul Maddox remix)
B: Handbaggers - U Found Out (Simon Parkes remix)

Well its finally here only around 10 months late but hey who's counting? The long awaited second part to Recycled EP 2 - and what a set of remixes we have! 'Bulgarian' was first released back in 2000 and was embraced by many as one of the major anthems of that year. Its release was bolstered by the Signum remix which was timed nicely as a few months before their hit What ya got for me? had smashed into the scene. Well in 2003 Tidys main man Paul Maddox delivers a pumped up alternative for those tougher floors in the land. This mix has had numerous support from the usual suspects but it has also featured on 'Extreme Euphoria 2' mixed by Lisa Lashes and also on 'Insomnia 3'. On the flip we welcome back Simon Parkes. Those of you who dont know Simon have obviously been in a hole for the last 7 years. Simon was, of course, Tony De Vits engineer and co-writer and 'U Found Out' was Tonys first ever mix for Tidy Trax, back in 95.

Utilising the latest digital technology, Stereonova are producing some very exciting futuristic music, as they push the boundaries and parameters of their chosen genre. This is the second installment from these brilliant Italian producers. They deliver another awesome package with the vocal progressive house stormer 'Sometimes' backed with the dark and energetic 'Twisted'. Definitely boys to watch out for. The finest Italian progressive house out there and Italian music is definitely on a big come back.

Darren Styles & Mark Breeze present Future World
"Chemical Love"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. NUKP0483

A - Chemical Love
B - Chemical Love (Infextious remix)

Darren Styles and Mark Breeze are legends from the underground having being DJing for 10 years. Darren was part of Force and Styles happy hardcore dream team that toured the world and played all the big events across the globe. Darren even featured on the Radio 1 Essential Mix and they were the only happy hardcore producers to be on Radio 1. Mark Breeze is from the same scene and another legend that has seen and done everything twice over. With over 100 productions under their belts their tracks have been on the hugely successful Bonkers compilations and on worldwide happy hardcore compilations. The boys have slowed down their beats and produced some excellent remixes for Nukleuz including Taiko's 'Silence', Project 101's 'Drifting', Vinylgroover & Red Hed's 'Everlasting' and Lisa Pin Up's Blow Your Mind and they also wrote the successful Black Magic track. The duo have been one of the most exciting production teams this year: their Infextious Let Me Fly release is getting rave reviews and is due for a commercial release in March with storming remixes and looks set to go Top 40. Here Darren and Mark team up once again to present another alter ego, Futureworld, and boy what a release they have made. Absolutely storming, riff-based, anthemic trance with a monster vocal hook on one side and euphoric summertime trance with a massive hook and a harder edge on the flip. Both mixes are amazing and suit the crossover DJs - you will hear this at Slinky to the Ritzy clubs.

Syntone
"Can't Believe It"

Released 3.2.03
Cat No. CLOS08

A - Can't Believe It (Silverblue remix)
B - Can't Believe It (Scott Mac remix)

For the next release, Judge Jules has put on his Closet A&R hat for the first time and discovered the outside production team, Syntone and their future anthem, 'Can't Believe It'. With Paul Masterson giving the track his seal of approval too, you can't go wrong!! Silverblue head up the A-side with a monstrous remix. It all kicks off with chunky beats, tight percussion and a dark, brooding bassline. Then the tear-jerking strings are introduced as we're lead into the break. It's here the killer main riff slowly creeps out of the speakers before erupting to shake the dancefloor to its foundations. The remix is supplied by the resurgent Scott Mac and once again, he doesn't disappoint. The groove is toughened to give the track a darker, chunkier edge but retains that all important funky element. With splashes of the main riff, the intense, techy mood of this mix will really raise the temperature.

Review from www.offitsface.com:

"You should all be aware of how popular T-Break by VPL was and the latest two tracker for the Closet label is certainly going to follow in its footsteps if the Silverblue Remix is anything to go by. Coming from Syntone, producers for Holland's Freaky Music company, this release is your less obvious slice of trance. The Silverblue mix is a very cool number, with lethal percussion, a bubbly bassline that works well and strings too. The tune then drops to a very cool break where some mental synth stabs are introduced. When the riff comes in during the second break you know this one is a winner! I'm not that keen on the Scott Mac vs DJ Cams mix on the other side to be honest but if you like something a bit different then I am sure that one will be for you. Another top Closet release."

Young Parisians
"U Write The Rules"

A - U Write The Rules (Solarstone remix)
B1 - U Write The Rules B2 - U Write The Rules (7" edit)

'U Write The Rules is the 6th release from Solarstones Deep Blue label The original track was actually recorded in '87 and remained an unreleased project until now. Solarstone loved the track that much they decided to release it with their own remix, which has so far been very well received by all the usual suspects including DJ Tiësto who was first to air it on Radio 1 during his Essential mix. Will feature on the new Gatecrasher Compilation.
