It is full-on, hi-octane, euphoric trance-tinged NRG for the masses use with care! Flipside remix duties go to Billy Daniel Bunter and Jon Doe as they dust down the early Stimulant classic, Non Stop NRG and give it their infamous UK Hard rework. Huge synth lines, rumbling bass, driving beats and epic, hands-to-heaven breakdowns are all in effect, leaving the crowd shaken and stirred. Get on it and stimulate your dancefloor.

The track is a funky, progressive tune with a vocodered vocalspreading out his message over the dancefloor. An absolute floor-filler, influenced by Dance Nations Dance. Fix the Border is another pumpin tune, much more techy and forcing, with a melodic breakwhich certainly gets a good response from the crowd. David Alvarado "Polygon" Released 22.7.02 Cat No.OVUM147
Born and bred in Los Angeles, DJ/Producer David Alvarado has been carefully developing his smooth, soulful house signature thats deeper that the Atlantic Ocean since he was a teenager. Solidly entrenched in America's house underground and boasting a growing global following, he's played a pivotal role in shaping the dozen disparate cuts on his critically acclaimed Bomb Records indie, while cutting glistening tracks and remixes for labels like Definitive, Ovum, X-Rated and Groove On.It has taken close to 3 years for David to follow up the very successful Klugh from 1999, but Auburn / Polygon is a tremendous 2 tracker that has been charted by Carl Cox at #1 on his Muzik Magazine chart. Taking sensual female vocals talking about touching my body, David Alvarado builds a scorching techy house gem that delivers a sweeping synth pad over hard driving congas and a west coast house drum pattern. Going back to a traditional jackin bassline to drive Auburn, Mr. Alvarado works with a haunting male spoken vocal and interlaces in a very hypnotic trancey synth to take off the edge, but take the track into the stratosphere.

The Captain & Steve Thomas "Turn Da Music Up" Released 22.7.02 Cat No.RIB059
Tinribs favourite production partnership, The Captain & Steve Thomas are at it again. Thisis the HUGE follow up to New York, London, Amsterdam, a track that resolutely refused to leave the charts of every Hard Dance DJ in the land for weeks on end at the beginning of this year. A Side: Turn Da Muzik Up: The deep tribal thumping rhythms merely hint at the true enormity of this track! Do as the Mental Muchacha says & TURN THE F**CKIN MUSIC UP! Exquisite production from the boys - crazy-odd-funky Waldorf flashes about & then a fiendishly advanced Juno stab (no samples here mate) gives it a kick like a speed-injected mule on heat! AA.Side : La Coupe Du Monde: Dedicated to our boys in Japan (still going for it by the time you read this we hope!) The deep-fried pounding rhythms are the key in this mesmerising track. Hypnotic & full of effects.

Ron Carroll "Nothing But Funk" Released 22.7.02 Cat No.BM803
Fresh from his full Summer stay in Ibiza, Ron Carroll is back with passion and fury; on a mission to make music that will make you dance no matter what. The Body Music Anthem has a stop / start intro, the drums teasing in and out of the mix while a vocal pulses through a filter and echoes far, far away. Just as you begin to feel the groove from nowhere comes a siren call out for dance floor arrival. Not just a siren, a huge siren letting you know this is going to be a BIG record and its arrival is NOW. The breakdown is even BIGGER and comes back in with a bass line that will kick your ass and make you shake all night long. Ron serves up a one-sider here, respectable House Music gear here for the jocks that can rock a party right and want big results from their floor. Roger S. has been killing this record all summer in Ibiza.

RC Groove vs Rhythm Is Rhythm "Chicago / Detroit" Released 22.7.02 Cat No.BM805
Spending much time since the 80s singing and writing songs for other people, Ron Carroll got the bug to want to do things his way. The consequence of such feelings brought about the creation of Body Music. Having worked on over forty releases, Ron is an unstoppable force in Chicago Vocal House Music. The primary artist on Body Music (launched in 2001), Ron is unquestionably able to bear the task of both A&R and artist with his studio savvy and critical ear for music that is both relevant to the both the critics and the punters, in the magazine office and out on the 2am dancefloor. A world traveled DJ; Ron knows what the people want. Receiving the positive honor of being named one of NMEs 10 Best Tracks of WMC 2001 and accumulating support from David Morales, Deli G, Satoshi Tomiie, Eddie Amador and even Brian Middleton on Chicagos own B-96, it is well understood that this label is going to be a cross-over sensation throughout the globe and Ron is going to take us on a madcap voyage. The plan set in motion here is for Ron to be involved, but always alongside a superb cast of remixers, engineers and collaborators. This approach has already brought Richie Heller, E-Smoove, Jason Dunne and Lady D into the picture and assuredly will find Ron alongside many other fixtures in the business on his future releases. Rather than taking baby steps on the way to establishing itself, Body Music has launched right into the consciousness of the electronic music collective where it has been making waves since note number one. This is Ron at the helm offering music that is unpredictable, yet on the same page effective in the dance market; that will rock the floors no matter the style or direction each release travels down. This is trend setting House Music and you better pay attention because snoozing equals losing.

Various "Bunchlox Sampler 1.0" Released 22.7.02 Cat No.LBM001
Bunchlox Music is a new label set to present Chicago House Music and all of its facets. Rees Urban [Pro-jex and Dance Mania recording artist] and partner Karl Almaria launch this debut release with a production by Karl, remixed by one of Dance Musics most sought-after producers of-the-moment, Hatiras. He gives production newcomer Almaria a re-rub in his trademark Toronto House style: tough shuffling drums, wicked filters, tripped-out breakdowns, and build-ups that nail you to the floor. All this is hot on the heels of his remixes of Kylie Minogue and Junior Jacks huge My Feeling and, of course, his world-wide mega-smash Spaced Invader. Wrapping up the A-side is Things Just Dont Matter from Chicago Track House and Techno legend DJ Rush. This is a return to form for Rush, reminiscent of his early work on Relief. A very special and rare stateside vinyl appearance from the drum major, this revisits his Chicago Track House roots and updates them 2001 style. Analog sounds, crunchy percussion, dirty drums and M.F. bass in your face, what else would you expect from this Techno Samurai? On the flip we start off with Bang from Angel Alanis working under the cloak of A Squared, hot on the heels of his massive release Do You Like The Way You Feel When You Shake? on his own imprint A Squared Muzik. This beating filter workout is essential for all working DJs and is guaranteed to be a hit with Disco House enthusiasts from all over the world. Catchy loop + heavy effects + tremendous breakdown = Bang. Of course, the track lives up to its name and finds Angel in top form. The closing track is Im Cumin Baby from Chicagos rising star Rees Urban. Relentless European touring and major support from DJs like Dave Clarke and DJ Rush have catapulted him into the globetrotting world of the DJ/Producer. This is a phasing Disco loop that dances circles around a female vocal stab with mature drum programming and smooth breakdowns that will have feet tappin and the punters screaming. Urban is on top of his game here and we await the rest of the Bunchlox releases with bated breath.

Base Graffiti "Spank Da Bass" Released 22.7.02 Cat No.KHZ003
Base Graffiti is Dom Sweeten, one half of OD404 / Satellite Kidz. Andy Farley for M8 Magazine June 2002: Nice little groover from Dom Sweeten!! First up is his original mix, which has chunky bassline, cheeky stabs and a clanky breakdown. No real big riffs as such, and that makes it all the better!! Over on the flip is a Knuckleheadz remix, which toughen things up a touch, giving added bounce without the cheese!! (7/8) Muzik Mark Kavanagh June 2002: Even more rough and dirty tumbles from Langford's camp - and he is, isn't he? - with Dom Sweeten going FX crazy on 'Spank Da Base', cracking a percussion-dominated whip 145 times a minute wearing full PVC cat-suit and dog collar. A tasteful but firm spank in comparison, the Knuckleheadz remix is nonetheless one of their best - oh bondage up yours!" 4/5

Digby & Oliver "Sunshower" Released 22.7.02 Cat No.ZOT12011
If you hadnt heard of Digby & Olivier before, let me tell you that Jason & Gab are two of Melbournes most respected DJs and are rapidly turning into one of the countrys most exciting production teams as well. Last years Human track got the thumbs up from most and went on to become the labels biggest seller to date. Seven Stones has been floating around for a while, got a UK release on March 25th and was included on Anthony Pappas recent Resolution CD for React. Their Oracle track was licensed to Dave Seamans Renaissance Desire CD and Dave liked it so much he went on to sign it for his own Therapy label. 'Sunshower' is a cool as ice house number. The track was in fact due to be the first release for the chaps but was held back to allow for further tweaking and road-testing. Rolling basslines combine with fucked up vocal samples that drive towards a funky as hell mid section before the track kicks back off towards the finale. On the flip theres also a dub mix and a cool intro mix for maximum DJ usage. You know what to expect with all ZT releases. Cool underground house as only they know how - already an anthem with the likes of Burridge.

Shmuel Flash "Chilling Moments" Released 22.7.02 Cat No.BED34 / BED34R
This 2 x 12" marks Shmuel Flashs latest development in a building relationship with Bedrock Records. Following the Deep Amok remix on OBA's 'Noah's Ark' in the early days of black, and Shmoo's fantastic 'Sophisticated' / 'Afro Doom', comes the biggest marker to date. Two fantastic 12"s featuring two brilliant tracks 'Chilling Moments' and 'Doyzz' and another storming remix package from the Digweed / Muir combo that is Bedrock the artist. Shmuel Flash has surged to the forefront of the progressive house production world alongside his brothers as part of Shmoo and the Flash Brothers, but revealed his own distinct abilities as Shmuel Flash and Deep Amok. Quickly revealing itself as a hotbed of underground talent, Israel offers up Shmuel as part of a young, vibrant and immensely talented new wave in dance production. Shmuel has also released tracks on Paolo Mojo's 'Enter Music' label and has a forthcoming assocaition with Yoshitoshi. This looks like just the beginning of a blossoming career. Inspired by Shmuels Israeli roots and with a spine tingling middle eastern soul to it, 'Chilling Moments' builds layer on layer of superb production, until the fantastic, haunting wail swells to the surface. This is a deviation from Shmuels past material, a lower tempo number in which he combines that brooding, atmospheric feel with something uplifing and optimistic. Dub and vocal mixes provide the unique Bedrock vibe to what is already a superb groove. Bedrock drop the beats back in, creating 2 classic progressive cuts designed for the peak of the night. If all that wasn't enough, the second 12" features another track by this emerging star, 'Doyzz'. Chilling Moments has been licensed to Hernan Cattaneos Positiva Album and Satoshi Tomiies Global Underground compilation.

K90 "Red Snapper" Released 22.7.02 Cat No.RECOVER015
DJ Magazine - Issue 318 29 June to 12 July: "K90's 'Red Snapper' has become something of an underground hard trance anthem in recent times following a limited pressing on the Telica label. To coincide with the release of K90's 'Urban Anthems' album, Recover have dusted down this classic and given it two fresh new remixes. Jon Doe's mix has been the one causing a stir amongst hard house jocks, providing a near perfect update on the melodic original by fusing blissful melodies with blistering beats in a powerful remake that will batter the dancefloor close to submission until the unmistakable melodies send their arms aloft for an uplifting finale. For those that prefer a slightly less full-on sound, be sure to check out the slick trance interpretation provided by Wavestorm on the flip side." Rating: 5/5 (Sure Player) Clubbing.com Magazine Ireland (Jay Pidgeon):"Possibly one of the most popular UK live PA's use Jon Doe and Wavestorm to remix one of their top past release's to date. Jon Doe one of the pioneers of UK Hard trance produces a hard and growling remix with a head banging baseline, he uses lots of ride percussion and makes the main riff sound airy and big room with an amazing atmosphere. Wavestorm now a regular on this label keeps it trancy but more uplifting, two really top class productions." Licensed to Resonate (Tidy Trax) mixed by Lee Haslam.

Mauro Picotto "Back To Cali" Released 22.7.02 Cat No.BXRF0433 / BXRFA0433
Muzik Magazine June 2002: "Head of Italian hard house mafia Mauro is positively schizophrenic on 'Back To Cali'. On the non-DJ friendly 'Original Claxixx Mix', a sea of summer sounds and swirling synths are so happy there should be a law against them. The dark drums and analogue whines and schreeches of 'Megavoices Mix', meanwhile, are about as dark as it gets. At least I hope so. It will be masssive, mind."

Sam Reeve "Tek It" Released 22.7.02 Cat No.RETEK01
Retek launches its first release, and has already got the hard house scene rockin' courtesy of two awesome mixes. DJ Magazine (Issue 317) (Simon Eve): "Retek is another brand new label about to enter the fray, and is brought to us by Sam Reeve of Hotwax Traxx fame. Those expecting more of the bouncing Hotwax style will be in for a surprise though, as the sound is somewhat more refined, with Sam Reeve laying down a rough, tough, techno edged groove with warbling vocal loops washing over the top. The pace steps up noticeably on the second side, with Paul Glazby cranking up the BPMs with the aid of a bounding bassline. Relentless energy and a neatly worked arrangement take the listener on a roller coaster journey, and leave the crowd literally gasping for more." 4/5 Clubbing.com Magazine Ireland (Jay Pidgeon): "A brand new label with brand new sounds and artist, Sam Reeve might be known for his old Hotwax stuff, but this new sound, it rocks. Tec it fuses and combines elements from Hard House, Trance and Techno with a pounding baseline and a speaker screeching lead line. Paul Glazby does the remix, obviously the man has 48 hour days, claiming it is his best ever remix to date, even better that beautiful. Even after one quick listen you will agree, things look great for Retek."

Stereo Pie "Blueberry Pancake" Released 22.7.02 Cat No.SS010
Surround Sounds has 3 main acts: Kodiak, Red Moon and STEREO PIE. All 4 have their own distinctive sound and each receive good support from a broad cross-section of the big-name and cooler, more underground DJs. The label tends to sit in the middle of a few genres. Youll hear tech-house, prog and tribal and a few things in between. The main ethos is quality, DJ friendly releases. You may as well give in now, the label has you 'Surrounded'. This is the first in a seriesof the Pancakes! The sound is a compressed, distorted, phat tech-funk with a killer groove. The flipside is a twisted techno / acid affair which really sucks you in and then spits you out. Cool stuff! Stereo Pie is Arian who lives in Ibiza and has residencies at DC10, KM5, The Motel and Cala Jondal. He also records for Peppermint Jam.
