Tangled Universe is an alias for DJ / producers Ton T.B. and Enrico, who had a huge summer hit with their Greece 2000, played by almost every trance DJ on the globe. Cosmic Synths kicks off with a dark bassline. After the break the track changes into a melodic trancer with catchy string chords. Melodies from the Universe features even more strings and is very suitable for a more trancey set. Both tracks have a massive drive.

Godscent "Moonlight Ride" Released 8.7.02 Cat No.IMP1 / IMP1X
Stefan Kvarnstrm, one half of Godscent, used to work at Tambourine Studios where The Cardigans produce all their tracks. Since then he has assisted Tore Johansson with production for artists such as Melanie C, Aha and Bel Canto. This is Stefan and Jonas Eloffsons debut release together the first of a series of commercial house tracks with great remixes from Stonedbridge. It has that funky French commercial sound that will see good radio support and remixes that are sure to be big in the clubs. The second 12 contains the popular dub mix by Playmaker which is a tribal, progressive mix. The Stonebridge dub mix is more or less an instrumental of his club mix. The track is already licensed to Hussle Recordings / Ministry of Sound Australia, plus a Portuguese mix compilation distributed by Universal, and will also be released on EMI in france during June.

Angel Alanis "Do You Like The Way You Feel When You Shake?" Released 8.7.02 Cat No.A2R702
'Do You Like The Way You Feel When You Shake?' is a tribal house monster jam. Sultry, suggestive Colette tells listeners Im feeling so much better, and then asks them Im screaming, can you hear? When the music filters out and her words fade away, a sample comes from far away, this time a male voice plainly provokes the girls to Shake that ass and bounce those tits girl. This is serious peak-hour madness for DJs who are not afraid to rattle the cage. The A-side of the record kicks off with the original mix for those who slept on it the first time around. Also on side one is a mix from Chicago Ghetto House Royalty, DJ Funk. This is a true-to-form mix, which simply is a Roland 808 / 303 workout ala Funks Dance Mania output from the mid-90s. He takes the vocal, cuts it up even more and turns the track into a Booty / Ghetto anthem. Flip the platter and you will find mixes by Carl Cox protg Trevor Rockcliffe and Los Angeles remix wunderkind Peter Black. The Rockcliffe mix is emblematic of his trademark Tech House sound and has received particular support from the Def Mix DJs. This is a peak-hour 909 attack that will rock both club and party crowds right. Peter Black, fresh from Electric Avenue is on the post-Ibiza attack with his mix which actually received consistent play throughout the Summer by Darren Emerson.

Elizabeth Fields "Speak In Sympathy" Released 8.7.02 Cat No.12DEEP0402
The long awaited re-launch of DeepBlue Recordings heralds the arrival of an astounding new talent into the world of progressive music. Elizabeth Fields, the singer / songwriter behind this poignant yet defiantly optimistic song is a long-time friend of dance maestros Solarstone and leader of underground funksters Morello. Solarstone were responsible for anthems such as Seven Cities and Liquid States Falling. "Its a love song", states Elizabeth simply, and a heart-felt one at that; yet after the Solarstone boys have sprinkled their magic dust all over it, it becomes a rich, sensual and driving monster guaranteed to melt the hearts and shake the boots of the nations most discerning clubbers. The Deeper Mix is an urgently rolling chugger with a groovy b-line, chunky beats and tense builds which drive the vocal along. It is an earthy, organic mix, pleasing the prog and trance heads alike. The Original Mix has all of Solarstones trademark elements: swirling pads, subtle key changes, hypnotic synths and an eye-wateringly beautiful breakdown, all of which effortlessly support the fabulous vocal. The track will feature on the next Gatecrasher compilation and the forthcoming Tiesto album.

RR Fierce "Neuronex" Released 8.7.02 Cat No.VCR014
RR Fierce (who sadly passed away in December last year), was one of the main names associated with hard dance music for the last 6 years, but it was over the last 18 months that his name really started to break through. His full-on style has featured on labels such as Tinrib, Alien Trax, DP, his own Fierce-Technik and even a previous release on Vicious Circle. On the A-side: RR Fierce has come up with the goods once again, some say this is his finest work to date. The combination of the nail hard beats, driving percussion and the trancey riff will make this one of the tunes of the year. The flipside sees Nick Sentience deliver one hell of a mix. Nick is one of the most highly respected producers on the Hardhouse / dance circuit; with numerous Nukleuz anthems under his belt, his career has rocketed from strength to strength. Until recently Nick was the main man steering the Nukleuz sound and his trance / tech / hard house fusion was a breath of fresh air to the scene last year. Here he uses the key elements from the original, but adds his own trademark sound to produce a corking re-work.

The Southern Alliance "Tranceform" Released 8.7.02 Cat No.HOTWAX020
The Southern Alliance (aka Ben Kaye & Synergy) follow up their smash on the label with another stormer of a track. Tranceform takes them down a trancey road with an uplifting riff as the track builds with fierce potential. It breaks into a musical melody with a hard hoover but keeps hold of the trance elements. This is another high quality production, which is sure to set dancefloors reaching for the lasers wherever it is played. On the flipside, John Whiteman is hot on the heels of his recent track for the label.

He has been pivotal in organizing the Energy street-raves since 1992 (in 2001 an estimated 1,000,000 people attended). Excelsis is a slab of pure, full-on pumping trance with that trademark harder Nukleuz edge for those who appreciate a bit of welly. Set to play a major part in the soundtrack to the summer this record has been licensed from Switzerlands Energetic Records for UK release on the Nations favourite label. Foggy "Come Into My Dreams" Released 8.7.02 Cat No.DAC01
The first release on Dacoda, a new trance label with AJ Gibson from Godskitchen at the helm. This is a vocal trancer from Germany, that's already a hit across much of Europe. Focusing on the hands in the air riff and dreamy vocal, this quality German production is still tough enough to truly shake up the dancefloor. Co-founder AJ Gibson provides his own mix and doesnt disappoint. Using the full vocal, he twists the original into his own UK sound, bringing out more of the song-like qualities, but losing none of the magic. This tune is an anthem.

The Iberia a side mix is a main room, main set monster, delivering on a far more subliminal level than it initially suggests. The flips r.e.mix is a more laid back reworking, but still paying off in spades at the main break.

Here, 2 of Londons biggest DJs join forces to put their knowledge into driving the dance floors wild. Roosta has been signed to Honey Pot for 2 years and has had a number of biggies released in that time. Spencer is a new signing to the label and is currently riding high with a number of releases on Frantic Recordings.
