Digital Mind Control
"Mindstate"

Released 24.06.02
Cat No.ZOT12014

Melbournes Ivan Gough and Luke Chable represent the old and the new of Australias burgeoning dance scene. Ivans been around for what seems like yonks, with a discography reaching back into the mid nineties under pseudonyms such as Traveller In Motion and The Free Radicals, plus more recent efforts as Deep Funk Project, Dark Alley and Traveller & Quest. Around 2 years ago he joined the ever-growing roster at Zero Tolerance and in that time, Ivans tracks have featured on almost every major progressive DJs charts. Luke Chable is the new gun from the stable of Zero Tolerance, his as-yet unreleased solo track 'Eat Static' has already graced Nick Warrens Renaissance 'Revelation' CD and 'Mindstate' got an outing on Dave Seamans recent Global Underground 22 release. 'Mindstate' is a haunting tech/tribal slamming track with an energy belying its 126 bpm tempo, packed with those lovely sinister chords that work so well in the club. Menacing, yet still very dancefloor-friendly, its best enjoyed on a big system with the bass cranked up to full volume. Dont, whatever you do, overlook 'Beta Proxima 7' on the B-side as this is another worthy addition to any self-respecting DJ's crate.

Force Mass Motion
"Release Me"

Released 24.06.02
Cat No.FLR037

An old hand at production, Force Mass Motion (aka Polaris) has been in the game for over 10 years now. From the huge selling Panic to THAT mix of Adamskis 'One of the People' to his remix for Fluids own Ritmo 'Perfected Technik', Mike Wells has consistently exhibited a pedigree in his work and his many remixes. His production work as Polaris, and noticeably the release of Addicted, has earned him a top reputation, confirmed by the recent top Buzz Chart placement for Force Mass Motion v Dylan Rhymes' 'Hold Back' (Also, Seb Fontaine's VIP tune). A side is a groovy vocal track, perfect for the summer. Sliding synths snuggle cosily along side the lead vocal while an effected vocal stab sneaks in and out of the bouncing bass line true to what Force Mass Motion / Polaris has defined as his signature sound. The B side is a chunkier approach. A solid kick and a growling bass line lead the tune. Analogue stabs and breathy vocals mingle nicely, building the intensity of the song to a break down thats guaranteed to grab any dance floor. A sexier take on the original that really works.
